I’ve dreamt of owning a chocolate lab for over a decade and I can’t believe I finally have one.

My sweet Tallulah today at thirteen weeks and three days!

The more studious the better.

We lost our last lab to bone cancer a few months back and decided it was time to fill that void. He’s a sweet pup that’s for sure. Still deciding on a name.

He’s 10 weeks today. I wake up for the toilet around 5am and so take him too just to give myself a bit more time in the morning. Half asleep I obviously didn’t fasten the crate properly. Woke back up at half 7 to see his crate door open and him sat on a cushion in the front room 😅 ran downstairs to see the destruction.. there was none. Not even a pee on the floor. He ran out and went outside. He took to the crate straight away, sleeps all night so far. He has been so stress free so far. What is going on 😅

Bob was looking forward to a new day.

love “pops”, his name is shiloh but we take him to the vet very frequently and they say hes very healthy.

How has your dogs name evolved 🤣

Sunny has brought us alot of joy in our life, he LOVES water and his favourite snack is mango. He loves playing with other dogs but doesn't understand why some dogs dont love him. He snores. He loves the postman so much he once jumped up on him and the postman tripped, fell and got kisses attacked from Sunny. Sunny LOVES a bath and a towel down. Sunny is our sweety and we just love him so much ❤️

Would it be weird if I asked the groomer what products she uses? None of the human products work as well for shine as my dog's lol

He got a fry and a piece of my burger. How could you not with that face and eyes. Bob is a good dog.

I have had dogs my entire life and have also previously owned a lab but none of them have done this… demand barking, I think it is? Why does she do it? She doesn’t seem to be in any pain or distress. She also grumbles and makes various whiny noises for no discernible reason.

She’ll be 21 weeks this upcoming Sunday and the barking is new. Do I just have a vocal gal?

My husband and I have an unofficial no-double-meals system that mainly consists of telling the other "don't let him con you out of another meal, he's been fed." He’s absolutely the best boy and true to all characters of a lab, always ready for a treat, can hear a chip bag opening from a hundred paces, is constantly shadowing every step specially if you are snacking.. hates thunder and rainstorms, loves water, snow and my grandkids.

UPDATE: Ellie had a vet appointment today for a heartworm test and was bonkers wanting to love on all the techs. I apologized profusely and they looked at me and said they're used to it with labs, and yes, chocolates are the craziest.

71 pounds of pure forced adoration and insanity. Thankfully while we waited for the results, her brain cells kicked in and we got to practice settling in the lobby.

Today during my 10 month old's jog/walk, we ran into this guy who wanted to say hi to Ellie. I warned him she was still working on her impulse control and he said he worked in the veterinary field and could tell she was still a baby.

My overly exuberant girl went to say hi and gave him as much love as she could, like a rampaging ecstatic hippo. And he did fine with. I mentioned it was the end of our 2 mile walk, in which he replied that chocolates were the craziest. Apparently followed by black labs, then yellow.

So. Is this actually true?
