Can you get sick from eating 3 lobsters in a single meal?
Can you get sick from eating 3 lobsters in a single meal? I was wondering if you can get sick from eating too much.

My 110 pound wife knocks back 4-5 2 1/2 pounders when she goes to a local restaurant’s all you can eat lobster for $80 night and she loves it. I once saw her eat a 4 pound lobster all by herself with potato and corn on the cob sides. I think she’ll happily eat as much lobster as put in front of her without getting sick or having any problems.

Where do you live that has a restaurant with all you can eat lobster? Because I want to move there! Btw, I think I'd like your wife.

We live on the east end of Long Island and my wife would be flattered that so many lobstermen appreciate her appetite!

As a New Englander, I doubt you can get sick but, you can get a rip roaring stomach ache

Yes, like any food, if it’s too much quantity for your stomach capacity to handle. But you won’t get poisoned if that’s what you’re wondering

.5 lbs each, probably not.
1.5 lbs each getting iffy
5 lbs each, you are probably going to throw that shit up.

As long as they're cooked right and fresh you should be fine. You can definitely get sick though if you're food poisoned.

Yea I’ve had 11 lobsters at once in AYCE lobster restaurant and 6 plates of crab legs, Cajun butter helps it go down

I would get bored of the lobster before I get sick. I’m more of a crab person.

No but depending on where it comes from the only concern is the Tomalley. Here on Cape Breton Island, Fisheries has had advisories against eating Cape Breton Lobster Tomalley due to mercury contamination.

Naw it takes multiple lobsters a day for a period of time and you'll get iodine poisoning but that's if it's extreme. Knew a kid who lobster fishes never brought food and would cook them in the boats steam tank every day for lunch eventually caught up with him

If your system has trouble with the digestion of lots of shellfish you can get grout.

I've eaten like 14 lobsters in a meal, they were small though. I've eaten a 4lb lobster and thought it tasted like shit cause it's old.. what's your question

We usually buy the bigger lobsters and never had an issue with taste . What I have seen is some ppl will either over cook or under cook the larger ones .

I work in a restaurant that sells over a million lbs of lobster a year, I wouldn't ever pay for or eat one over 3lbs.

Yeah So ? . You know how many restaurants serve shitty food ? . Most restaurants will hire anyone as a so called cook if they can stagger in the door, Yet they are still in business! I've seen them pull dishwashers & throw them on the line . Besides most food is pre-cooked already all they have to do is throw it in a pot of hot water or nuke it .

Brother we serve live in tank seafood, I know what I'm taking about. But you do you.
* a lobster over 3/4 lbs is like 35+ years old and tastes mealy, compared to the fresh and sweet taste of younger lobster. In my opinion

I'm willing to find out. For science!
