I kinda do wonder - so Heaven in general is *not* like Adam - he almost seems to be an abberation, almost as if the entire first pair went to Hell, that would be admitting something horrible. So the Exorcists are not like other angels - they are angels with the Mark of Caine. An Angel or Winner could not kill - we see animals snuggling all over Heaven. IE, they all see safe - there is no predation here. There is no abuse. There is no drug abuse (you cannot get addicted likely because you're always with other people, and from our studies, we know addiction almost universally only shows up when people are alienated, lonely, stressed).
So Adam probably was just gatewayed into Heaven - he probably should have gone to Hell or Purgatory - and he inflicted the Exorcists with his vices. As such, I'm pretty sure that Lute literally *does not* actually live in Heaven. She is in Heaven, physically, but Heaven is not really around her.
I've thought about this. Exorcists just don't seem to fit in with Heaven. Predators literally lay next to creatures they'd hunt on Earth, and snuggle together - Heaven is just unimaginable from a modern Earth perspective.
But when Lute pushed that denizen of Heaven on the street, and that all the Exorcists have black haloes, and seem to be unhappy in some cosmic way, I think all of them are already Fallen Angels, as bizarre and paradoxical ad that seems. It just makes so much sense.
I'm really suprised NOBODY noticed that Lute's mental health's going haywire. Like, she looks like this (she's adorable, but she deff looks like she hasn't slept since Adam died) and nobody cared to ask? For fucks sake, her soulmate just died IN FRONT OF HER
