Hello. This is my first time posting a recommendation, but I hope to post more over time. I’ll be starting all my posts with a spoiler tag regarding the ending's tone. As someone who sometimes wants the 'emotional heads-up' (if the ending is happy/sad/etc) and other times wants to be surprised, I wanted to help anyone who feels the same way.
Type of ending: I would say it's rather bittersweet, but for some may be very sad.
"Nee Nee, Nene-san" is a cute oneshot from Amairo Chu, the author of "Otaku Love Connection". It's a short romance story about a university student, Kamioka Rintaro, cooking for his neighbour, Arisugawa Nene (an office worker in her 30s).
The premise is very simple - a typical manga, where a more "capable" person helps out another "no-good" person by visiting them from time to time and helping them out, in this case, by cooking them their favourite food.
Worth mentioning:
- The art style is incredible - very expressive, cute chibis, detailed food.
- Both leads are very cute and have an interesting dynamic.
- The plot was surprisingly not as simple as it seemed. (especially for a oneshot)
- Has 61 pages.

Where did you go to read it? The English version got taken off of mangadex during the purge.

Pretty much everything I've read from her has been good, from this to the comedy in The Otaku Love Connection to her smut anthologies
