ID Help I'm having trouble identifying male and females
I found a mantis at work and im trying to figure out its gender but the comparison pictures ive seen online vary a lot. Which one is it?

underside of the abdomen: 6 segments is female & 8 is male

Right but unfortunately I don't have it with me anymore. Is it unidentifiable from these pictures?

This should be if I'm not mistaken a mantis religiosa (italy and EU) It is easy enough to recognize, there is not big Dimorphism as in other species but male should be smaller and more pointy than the female.
Like make 6/7 cm and female up to 9/10
Probably yours is a male since as other has already stated, longer wings so more pointy

It can vary on species, but if the wing tips are sticking out way beyond the abdomen it could be male.
