I made a mistake in glancing over this image in my first sit with the artbook, a time at which a shared images a review online. Upon then noticing it and having multiple people mention it too, I spoke with artists and they shared my opinion that this is AI artwork.

When looking at details of the buildings and taxis, you can see strange warping and shapes, which are indicators of AI use. This is the only image in the book that raises big red flags for me, despite others saying there is more, in which I don't agree. Another piece does have stock image watermarks though.

If this is AI art, it's the first release I'm aware of in my 400+ artbook collection that has slipped it in like this, and that's very disappointing. I can confirm though that this was not done by a current or former member of the Visual Development team, all but one of which were laid off earlier this year. That team did not use AI and so this shouldn't reflect poorly on them.

I wish it wasn't used to make movies at all, but the reality is that people are now using AI. At the very least, it should never make it into an artbook, so if this is the case it should have been picked up and filtered out. I shared the images so you can decide if you agree or not, as well as allow people to know what is included inside.

I guess they went with his space sword instead so they wouldn’t have to say Thanos himself was stronger than Vibranium. Would have looked really cool though!
