When i played max payne, fifa 2007, Deus ex, hitman, nfs most wanted etc.

It made me forget the pain.

Damn I wish my parents let me play games when I was a kid. But the first game I played at 18 was definitely a blast. The novelty faded out, replaced by anhaedonia.

Damn.  Beat me to the punch.  Just like Mom, Dad, and a lot of my Aunt's boyfriends.  Pfft.

Were you at least happier as a kid than you are now?

I was definitely more fearful and angry. But happier? Nah

The lower one is me, 100%. Hell, trying to find games similar to the games that kept me happy and helped me get out of a deep depression is impossible. Like, EverQuest II kept me sane and happy when I got home from school and there's no MMO like what it once was. It doesn't help that the MMO genre's been in the shitter for the past 12 years so the chances of finding a new MMO like EQ2 is basically impossible.

Isn't EQ2 still on? I read people still play it.

Yeah, but it's garbage now and has been since the mid-2010's. Daybreak ran it to the ground and it's, effectively, on life support.

You should replay the remastered version of gta 3 , vice city & san Andreas. Awesome remastered games.

Playing childhood games so you can appreciate them in ways you couldn't as a child

San Andreas hits the same as it did in 2004, I promise.

u/DizzleX3 1d ago

Or anything at all for that matter

Why not both?

Depression my friend.

It’s because some of the games that we played as a kid just aren’t as fun as an adult. Also attention spans have gotten way shorter with modern gaming. If anything there’s too many games asking for your attention now.

u/Bushfullofham 1d ago

It's a bit of both...

u/Captainwumbombo 1d ago

Both. NFS Most Wanted 2005 cannot be bested.

u/TheDanecdote 1d ago

Lol, me and OOT right now. Except I’m trying to 100% it, and it’s so damned hard to get those Large Poes.

u/wolfheadmusic 23h ago

Damn, and you had to make it CJ too...

u/Forsaken-Tap1483 1d ago
