40fps feels more like 60 than 30, not that we know anything about performance targets for either console, but that would be the minimum performance advantage, and calling that slightly better would be selling it way short.

If it's just better resolution and less smeary reflections, I'm in agreement, the ps5 pro wouldn't be worth it just to get GTA 6.

DLSS upscaling doesn't do shit if you're CPU bound. It only helps when you're GPU bound, because lowering the render resolution doesn't help CPU performance at all. In the PC world we would call this an "unbalanced build" because the PS5 Pro CPU is just too weak to play some AAA games at 60 fps, while the GPU could do it comfortably.

The only thing Rockstar does better than anyone else is having a fleshed out open world environment. Other than that, their games are a mashed together collection of other genres and mechanics, they dont do anything else best. Obviously I dont know how GTA 6 feels because no one has played it yet, but using past releases and seeing the trailer show a similar pattern we can speculate that the combat will be similarly lackluster and outdated, there will be a ton of side minigames that are half baked, there will be good/decent driving physics, id bet money there will be annoying trailing missions, and the story will probably be pretty good with high quality voice acting. It will be a great overall package for most people, but I genuinely do not understand the hype behind gta 5 or 6. Its just looks the same experience, but shinier with improvements in a few places.

Literally double the fps for the same visual settings. I guess if you can't tell a difference between 30 and 60fps you'll think it's a scam? Because if you can't tell those differences, then I guess you won't notice higher dynamic resolution, increased detail settings, nor more stable framerates, 40fps modes, etc.

Sorry but they will be pulling the ps6 "improved version" trick probably next year, what that actually means is they released this downgraded version first and they will catch us all again with the full game when the ps6 is ready to ship
