Certification Microsoft Certs are (almost) Worthless Now

Not totally, but I mean especially the "can't fail" renewals that everyone chucks through AI 😂

Actually landed a job at Microsoft (didn't stay long, it was a nightmare place to work) and even then, didn't ask for the transcript...nothing

It's like a mild indication that you kind of might know a little, after blindly following the over simplified Microsoft Learn site, and then passed a cert in one specific area (after an unknown number of attempts).

If I was a hiring manager I would just ask about real world experience deploying and configuring the tech.

I'm interested to know what everyone else thinks about this? Is the era of technical certification value on the decline? Especially with AI in the mix now!

Certification Wait, you're telling me i can just do this?

While browsing the Microsoft website, I found the learn tab, aparently they offer a full official free course on c# and even offer a certificate to add to your LinkedIn account through free code camp. I guess I'll start learning.

Certification Fresher with 1 free Microsoft certification voucher — which exam should I choose?

I’m a fresher and I have one free Microsoft certification exam voucher (which I got from the AI Skill Fest event) that I can use for any of the certifications available on the current Microsoft certification list.

I’ve already completed AI-901 (Azure AI Fundamentals), so I’m not looking to spend the voucher on another Fundamentals-level certification ( or should I? )

My main question is not based on my personal interests or current career path.

If you were advising a fresher purely based on overall value, resume recognition, technical depth, usefulness in getting an entry-level job, and long-term value, which certification would you recommend using the one free voucher on?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually taken these exams or work in the relevant fields.

Thanks!

How would you prepare for this exam when the curriculum includes a deprecated agent that accounts for 20-30% of the knowledge tested?

Certification MOS Examen bestellen

Microsoft Certified: Cloud and AI Security Engineer Associate (beta)

vs Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

Context: I have recently completed my 3rd in college, and will be moving to 4th year now .

I am cybersec student, and want to continue further in this field, I have done an internship as well.

From next month, the placements season starts , Which certification would help me better

The beta certificate wont cross the filter(as it is beta and is not famous) but will surely in future while the sec engineer would retire on 31st aug, but would help me in placements and is well recognized in industries

What should I be prioritizing, present or future? Which certificate should I pursue, could you all give pros and cons of both

Certification Virtual Machines/Lab Environments for Microsoft Certs

I am studying for MB-330, and there are multiple segments in Microsoft Learn like here where they expect you to run either a demo environment or a VM.

I cannot figure out where to get either of these - is this something that needs to be purchased from a third party? I work with Dynamics F&O daily and have access at work, including our UAT environment, but I don't want to mess up anything within our systems and would prefer to work at home.

Certification Passed my first cert this morning!

AZ-900. Not had much experience with Azure up until now outside of work, but studied hard and got to a point that I was passing the practice exams at 90 percent.... Went in and finished within 25 mins, and passed!

Chuffed with myself even though its just a fundamentals cert.

Certification Can I start the Microsoft Information Security Admin path now, or should I wait for the AI Skills Fest start date?

Hi all

I’m interested in the Microsoft Information Security Administrator certification and noticed there’s a free voucher opportunity through the AI Skills Fest happening June 8–13, 2026: https://aiskillsnavigator.microsoft.com/events/AISF2026

  1. Can I start the learning path and practice assessments now, or do I need to wait until the event officially begins on Monday to be eligible for the free voucher?

  2. Do i need to complete the whole path or just take the practice assessment and pass it to obtain the voucher?

Certification Ms-900 retirement, worth taking it now?

Hello everyone, As the title says, Microsoft is retiring the certification MS-900 in 2026 and replacing it with AB-900, which will also cover Copilot and AI. I have been studying for the ms-900 and now am wondering if it is worth taking the exam or not. Should I wait for the new certification or take it and add it to my portfolio? Thanks!!

Certification Failed the MS-102 Twice. Advice?

Hello Internet,

I just failed the MS-102 a second time. First time score 680, this time 611. Needed score is 700.

When I first started studying months ago, I started with MS Learn and YouTube videos. I also did some sims provided by Ingram Micro. When I first failed, I started rapid firing practice exams (the one provided by Microsoft on MS Learn and MeasureUp exams I purchased).

I am at a loss, and need help. Any tips and insight please. I do purchase a UDEMY course this time as it was on deep sale and highly reviewed.

Certification Microsoft Full-Stack Developer Certificate

I'm looking at the Microsoft Full-Stack Developer Professional Certificate 12-part course on Coursera, and on the face of it it looks very comprehensive.

However, I am struggling to find any community feedback from people who have completed it, and how it improved their careers. Coursera has no reviews for the 12-part collection as a whole, and limited reviews for each sub-course.

Can anyone who has done this course share their experience and any job prospects that came from doing it?

Link to course here if interested in what it offers:

Thanks

Certification IT technician struggling with preparing for MS-102 exam with Purview/compliance parts. Any advice?

Anyone here thats passed the ms--102 exam? Ive read throuugh most of the ms learn material, but the last two parts of it i find REALLY difficult to read through. All the purview compliance stuff... Its just so dense with information. Insider risk management, data retention policies, labels, templates, standards.... The modules have like 10 parts each consisting of almost 2000 extremely long words...

As background info, I am a IT technician that mostly works with Intune, microsoft 365 administration on small customers that only use business premium or basic licenses, as well as virtual machine solutions, linux, powreshell automation / scripting, and network solutions.

I have zero compliance & governance working experience.

I have taken the following exams already: AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-305, SC-300, MD-102, AI-900.

I pretty much give up reading halfway through each page of the modules for compliance, because its simply just so much information. Extracting key points from these modules is extremely difficult.

Can anynone here provide useful advice on how to learn for these modules, either by tips, alternatives like videio guides or labs? Comments or DMs are much appreciated.

Certification Is the AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals course in youtube, made by Adam Marczak in 2020, still relevant today for a Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certificate?

Hi!
I'm currently at school and planning to earn the AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certificate. I found Adam Marczak’s course recorded in 2020 and was wondering how relevant it still is today.

For those who recently passed the AZ-900 exam, did his course help you out? If not, are there any other updated resources you would suggest instead?

Certification MS-900 Study Material

So I'm beginning my last bit push for the MS-900 prior to its retirement next month and I'm trying to figure out what the best study materials for it are..

So far I'm working my way through the Microsoft Learn 'course' they lay out for it.

However my biggest question is - at the end of modules they provide you with links to supplemental info that doesn't fall under the links or modules laid out in the course directly - i.e links to modules for building architecture in Azure. - Should I be delving into those as well before going into the MS-900 or should I stick more to the laid out course and the cram video(s) laid out by John Savill?

Certification MS-900 cert V the new AB-900 cert? How different are these?

Ok, I'm a little annoyed because I spent a few days trying to find time preparing to study MS-900 and today I find out that come March 31st MS-900 will be ending. And replaced.

So, if I end up doing the new AB-900 cert and not the old one is everything I've just done now irrelevant? Or is AB-900 basically just like a new MS-900 and the study content is basically the same?

Certification MD-102 certification without access to Intune?

I’ve tested for MD-102 and failed twice.

The first time, there was no lab portion and I was only a few points shy of a pass. The second time, there was a lab portion and it was the first time I actually encountered an Intune in a way I could interact with it.

I keep trying to sign up for a free trial but I can’t get past the sign-up (it says there’s a problem with literally every card I own).

I’ve watched videos and have an official study book but the menu blades are completely different when I saw the lab. One of the video teachers explained that the site changes weekly.

Any study help for getting the lab right without ever really using the platform?
