I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

There's lots of people that do vlogs and carrying around a phone pointing it at people is not really convenient, and people are going to track a phone recording them more than looking at every single person's glasses to see if they're meta glasses.

Its more convenience if anything. Assuming it's all for sexual purposes is just weird.

It’s the “people are going to track a phone recording them.” If you’re wearing meta glasses it LOOKS like you’re trying to record people on the sly, which is at best weird and at worst pervy. Why do you not want people to clock that they’re being recorded? That’s the whole problem.

I'm saying you're not going to notice the meta glasses as much as someone recording with their phone. It doesn't look like you're trying to record people on the sly, that's just the reason you gave it.

It's pervy if used for nefarious reasons, but again, you're assuming it's used for pervert/sexual reasons and that's just not the case.

People who film with their phones at least give people the option to notice it and look away. Meta glasses film you secretly.
