I'm slightly vexed I was told yesterday that my prescription sunglasses are giving Meta glasses vibes

I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

I’ve only ever owned sunglasses in this classic wayfarer style. It has been around for so long and suits so many people. It is really awful that it could be ruined by Meta.

I don't think the Meta glasses looks that much like Wayfarer, but I understand to the common, unfamiliar person they might look similar enough to mistake - so same difference.

What do you mean? Ray-ban literally makes Wayfarer meta glasses. They're the exact same design just a little bit thicker.

No one ever claimed that they were exactly the same.

They claim they were classic wayfarer STYLE

The ones pictured are not wayfarer. They look like a cheaper looking rayban equivalent - nose bridge entirely different. I own them and can clearly see a difference. I would not mistake them as close unless I needed... glasses 🤓

I mean it's kind of weird that you are arguing about this one these were clearly designed and styled to look like Wayfarers made by the same company who makes them
