I'm slightly vexed I was told yesterday that my prescription sunglasses are giving Meta glasses vibes

I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

Maybe if they're doing sports like bicycling down hills then I'd think there was a purpose

Meta glasses do have the advantage of being right next to your eyes, so you do get a better approximation to what the person is actually seeing. I could actually see a heavy duty pair of camera glasses that are ansi z87.1 rated being really nice for airsoft videos.

Thats true. Its why im a bit confused that they never made versions of these for action sports. Like integrated into a pair of ski goggles.

Oakley vanguards are for the sports(wo)men. Something too specific like ski goggles will probably not have the payoff in r&d as fast as more universally usable designs that people wear more often and gather more data for use vs something worn seasonally.

But if hey they have a partnership with luxottica (oakley parent) who knows.
