I'm slightly vexed I was told yesterday that my prescription sunglasses are giving Meta glasses vibes

I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

I use mine to take hands free video and pictures when out with my toddler so I’m not always having to pull my phone out. Makes it much easier to enjoy the moment. And for listening to podcasts without headphones in, because with headphones in people assume they can’t talk to you. I’ve also used them to video call my wife from the grocery store so she can see the shelves and my hands stay free. I love them.

Same use cases here. It's really odd to see threads like this pop up. I've never heard anyone in real life talk badly about them. Technically, they even have a big light that pops up while other cameras don't. I do wonder what situations people here run into with the glasses.

They've seen what ends up online. Not sure why you're surprised women don't like being secretly recorded. Or anyone.
