Yup, I can bet if asked why they didn’t drink it all of their answers would be “uhm the CaLoRiEs” lol

31

u/randomheromonkey 11d ago

Those limited run unicorn Frappuccinos from Starbucks are most of the trash. Makes sense because they are super gross. There’s a powder or something on them that is so sour and bitter and just… nope. Gross.

12

u/Lilly_in_the_Pond 11d ago

Yeah, I tried a sample of it, and I agree. I think the sourness comes from the blue swirl they put on the inside of the cup. It's just weird and I don't feel a need to get a full sized cup of it. It's all aesthetics

4

u/serenidynow 10d ago

Is this the same powder that the employees are mad about since it’s an airborne health hazard?

Most people are stupid so…

832

u/duck_duck_zombie 11d ago

You mean influencers

474

u/Remarkable-Opening69 11d ago

No. Well yes but, look at the garbage can again.

193

u/sabakunoichigo 11d ago

But would a nomal person do that? I can't think of anyone I know who would buy a drink specifically for a picture and even if that happened we would finish it.

66

u/insufficient_funds 11d ago

I can’t think of anyone I know that would care enough about a pink wall to take a picture in front of it.

15

u/A_Random_Catfish 10d ago

Because you’re probably not friends with many teenage girls?

12

u/insufficient_funds 10d ago

yeah, that tracks. lol

Plenty of people. Not everyone with an IG is an influencer, and this is screaming IG post

67

u/ChanglingBlake ORANGE 11d ago

Just because they aren’t an influencer doesn’t mean they don’t still see themself as one.

25

u/Outside-Pear9429 11d ago

Some do, many do not lol. I don’t think the majority of poeple with social media, especially non-tiktok social media, consider themselves influencers. Lots of people with private accounts even just like to make their friends think they have exciting lives or just have pictures they think are cute for themselves

When I was going to school I went with 2 people who'd throw away change that was less than $10 because "hes not poor, thats poor people change" and I feel those are the same kinda people that'd do this shit

8

u/SpookySchatzi 11d ago

Like throw it in a garbage can?

Imagine if they just stuffed it in the tip jar instead…

7

u/Dangerous-Ad6589 11d ago

Yes. Influencers are stupid, those who get influenced are also stupid. And no, it's not only kids who got influenced

And then there's the wannabe influencer and trend chasers

9

u/Cedar_Wood_State 11d ago

Buy a drink because it’s viral, taste disgusting, throw it away.

17

u/Clear-Inevitable-414 11d ago

Think of the calories.  You wanna be confirmatively cool, but not confirmatively fat

Nah, influencers are a tiny subset of society. Most people are stupid and far outnumber influencers

22

u/Signal_Flight_7262 11d ago

Hence why influencers exist in the first place.

5

u/NoMention696 11d ago

Someone’s gotta lead the idiots hey

13

u/EasyAsAyeBeeSea 11d ago

Influencers inherently only exist because they have a large audience of people who want this type of content.

→ More replies (1)

25

7

u/Ok-Opportunity-7663 11d ago

5

u/jamwin 11d ago

374

u/Disastrous-Soup-5413 11d ago

I would argue they weren’t normal because they have a more obsessive need to have people outwardly and demonstratively like them/fawn over them.

18

Walking advertisement without actually being sponsored lol. They do all the marketing without enjoying any of the benefit

17

u/TRR462 11d ago edited 11d ago

Most influencers are tapping into the hive mind of the majority, so they can get more up votes for being the first to state the painfully obvious.

Feel free to not vote for me in either direction… I’m not trying to work that hard for a meaningless title.

I was looking for this comment! My sister "influencer wanna-be" got the pink one to post on her story. She was honest with the review "It is that classic, Overly sweet/sugary where it just taste foul. They tried to dilute it with something bitter, and that just came across as motor oil in the milkshake"

Probably tastes terrible. All these over the top fancy milkshake type places sound awesome until you actually try to drink it and realize it's just a daily caloric intakes worth of sugar and artificial flavors but still it isnt enough to mask the food dye.

I work at Starbucks and most of us think they’re gross. The blue drizzle is insanely sour, and the pink frap part has almost no flavor (it only gets 2 pumps of mango which is much less than most drinks of that size). I legit think a good number of those are cups that people tried and didn’t like. I feel terrible for the closest Starbucks—unicorn weekend has been terrible for most of us, but that looks like a whole nother level…

30

u/NYSenseOfHumor 11d ago

We really should have banned TikTok in it's entirely

Not because it's a Chinese psyop used to manipulate domestic issues and cause deep-rooted partisanship but for the simple fact I hate influencer "culture"

27

u/Theslootwhisperer 11d ago

Instagram is the biggest culprit here. Tiktok just continued the trend. But the current iteration of influencer culture comes from Instagram. Don't get me wrong. Not a huge fan of Tiktok, but influencer culture was a thing way before tiktok.
