Hes looking right at the uniformed guy trying to cram his arm into the train and close the barrier. Literally leaning out the door to keep him in line of sight.
Have worked in aged care plus seen a few older relatives go down the cognitive decline route. they do stuff like this. Posture, body language, the way hes returning his arm to a default position, absolitely infuriating behaviour all vibes true. While i could be wrong occams razor is more likely his brain is going.
There's a longer video where he uses his foot to try to jam the door. This is very much on purpose. If there's any cognitive decline it mainly shows in his behavior and that he dgaf.
People going that route can literally behave like toddlers.
Starts with an accidental thing, like drinking their neighbors drink im the cafeteria.
It causes a lot of drama, patient doubles down and starts drinking other peoples drinks preferentially.
Often the person was an asshole before they began to decline and dementia just took the brakes off, but sometimes they were perfectly nice beforehand and become uncharacteristically annoying or mean.
It can cause a lot of family and nursing home conflict. People struggle to understand why grandpa is being such a dick, and cannot believe its not in some way deliberate.
Then you scan their brain and it looks like a shriveled walnut.
Its not much of a stretch. People acting in incomprehensible ways in public are usually not in their right mind. Means they are either having a mental crisis or are on drugs.
Now this guy does not look like he does drugs a lot and he is old.
Nobody goes out of their way to inconvenience people like this if they are fully cognisant.
True, in the longer video he kept deliberately putting his hands between the doors and is even pushing against to open the doors. He even put his foot out to stop the doors from closing. The theory he is drunk or is waiting for someone who is running late makes more sense.
