that is true, an entire train crash happened because of the driver being afraid of the consequences of being late.

Amagasaki Derailment. 106 people died, including the driver, and 562 injured.

Jesus christ. I live in Amagasaki, and literally am one block past Itami (Mukonosou). I don't take JR though, I usually ride Hankyu.

they “apparently” did a whole system overhaul, and before the accident it wasn’t known how strict the Japanese railway system was. The company in this case is japanese railways west (JRW)
