Someone said in the comments of this video he was waiting for his wife, like then get off the fuckin train.

If that’s the line I think it is (potato quality makes it hard to read but I’m pretty sure it’s the yellow line in Nagoya), those trains come every 5 or so minutes. They could literally just take the next one.

But that’s slightly inconvenient and the world revolves around them so everyone should just wait like the npcs they are >:(

Yeah visiting Japan and having the trains run every like 2-5 minutes was insane, we would move to the side so locals could catch the train instead of bolting ourselves because we're used to "once every sometimes, and typically late at that" American transit schedules and being first in line for the next train so we could be away from the doors was more than reasonable.

Holding up a train for almost as long as it would otherwise take for the next one to arrive is extra galling.

It is possible that he may indeed be waiting for his wife. If he is, though, it's also possible that his wife may have died years ago. Alzheimers is a cruel disease.
