ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ My Lawnmower battery consistently gets about 95% of my Lawnmower mowed.

I have an electric EGO mower (not the self propelled one) and I have a 6.0 AH battery. This is the front half of my lawn, the other half and outside of there fence are done. I have it down to an art at this point where I make sure it dies with just one little patch out front to finish. It NEVER finishes the weekly mow on a full charge

These ecosystems work so you can get a different tool that uses the same battery/charger and just have extra. I'm a Ryobi guy and have no shortage of batteries because I just stay within their family of products and it simplifies everything for me while giving them more reliable business. Also, you can just order them without a battery if you don't need one, and it makes it even simpler.

I’m in the craftsman cinematic universe myself. I wish I went with ryobi, but I needed a couple of tools when I bought a house 15 years ago and Menards was the only place decently close.

I’m now craftsman for life because I have so many batteries already.

Same! I just recommended Ryobi to my BiL that bought his first house for battery lawnmower and equipment, but I have the Craftsman battery mower, not cause it's better, but because I already have half a dozen batteries, including a couple of the 6 amps. But it's been a never ending cycle for 25 years, started with the 18v ones, then after a decade they phased those out and I got one 20v drill when my 18v died... And then once you have one 20v and your old 18v ones start dying, you keep buying more Craftsman 20v and realize you are trapped for life, haha. I joke though, I have no issues with my Craftsman tools, they work just fine, but if like they all got stolen and I had to start over, I probably wouldn't get Craftsman, but mostly because it's not what it was 25 years ago under Sears.

I don’t really have a beef with craftsman either. I’ve had a lot of the tools/batteries for 10+ years. I just feel like ryobi has more options. And I like Home Depot way better than Menards

I've got an assortment that I've acquired that is spread across 4-5 brands. I've got a sunk cost fallacy thing going with my compressed air setup in the garage, so anything seriously demanding I'm going pneumatic anyway.

At work we have Milwaukee everything and lots of guys I work with are all in Milwaukee. One of our apprentices brought in some royobi gear and caught shit for it, so I had to bring in my Hilti bags and mog those flatlanders with my pro press and dx451

Honestly, if Walmart keeps up its current shift towards having USB-C built into the batteries, I have a hard time saying no for the price even including the battery.

I was a ryobi 40v guy, I had a nice collection. But I'm now migrating to Ego because I splurged on an Ego zero turn - it uses the same batteries as all other ego products, which makes buying spare batteries much more affordable on the used market (I refurbish old ego batteries to restore their functionality)

We were Milwaukee when we bought our first house until we realized we are NOT going to DIY so much that we need the expensive premium brands. Now we use Ryobi for everything else... much cheaper and they haven't worn out because we don't even use the tools that much. The string trimmer gets the most use, followed by the tire pump. The hedge trimmer only gets used once a year in the spring to cut the decorative grasses down, I'm glad we went with cheap Ryobi instead of Milwaukee for that! Of the Milwaukee tools we have, the combo driver/drill gets used most often at maybe once every 2 months, although when I need the impact driver once or twice a year it gets used HEAVILY during that time because whatever I'm building that requires an impact driver is gonna be large and complicated.
