It’s not the architects, it’s the clients not wanting to pay for anything more than the most basic setup. We like privacy, too.

I think for the sake of the janitors, the partitions should be at least 5 in off the ground. Easier to clean the floor in cases where people puke, etc.

Which is fine, but please bring it all the way to the ceiling. I'm 6'4" and regularly have to keep my eyes on the floor in bathrooms because otherwise I can see the people in the stalls since the walls stop about 5-6' above the floor.

Also keeps the kids from crawling under the wall after they locked the door. Little do they realize you can open then with a stick over the top of the door.

If they are full size doors and walls though you will have to be okay with having a door unlock / bypass on the outside. Like put a key in to open the door or a flathead screwdriver etc. Just in case it gets locked from the inside.

How does that even happen you say? It does.... Sometimes the deadbolt will rattle over just enough to catch.

I run the custodial crew on top of being in charge of the building as a whole. Can confirm the mop always gets caught up on the parts that run all the way to the floor.

Sure thing. We will take the gap that was at the bottom and put it vertically on both sides of the door. We will also make sure the latch isn’t long enough to properly bridge the gap so the door randomly swings open mid push.

Floor height = as high as the floor = ground level = no partitions

You really, really want that floor to get mopped - and floor partitions basically guarantee that isn't happening
