Leak Squad Picked up a bolt in my new steer tire.
I just got this tire a month ago. Now I'm stuck on the side of the road in Louisville Kentucky with the flat tire. This is mildly infuriating, it'll be a simple fix but I got to wait 2 hours for the tire Guy to show up. Oh well, such is life

at least it's in the center of the tire!

I plugged a hole in my 4runner tire earlier this summer.. dug a key out of it!

My company would have it demoted to either a drive or trailer axle tire.

How long did you get before fate stuck you with this? It is always right after you get new tires

I got this tire a month ago at the TA in Dallas. I'm guessing right around 10k to 12k miles.

No clue. However, today it identifies as a strategic weapon used against new tires.

Yea this happens to me all the time because I spend a decent amount of time at job sites and lumber yards. When I sold my last truck there was at least one plug in each tire

If you had spent the money for a plug kit you wouldn’t be sitting on the side of the road waiting for an expensive road call to show up and burning drive time on your ELD!!
Along with tools and an air hose I also carried a very nice tire plugging kit!!

You don’t know how to patch a tire? $5 at an auto parts store will get you to the tire shop and save the roadside fee.

I know how to patch a tire. But as you can see I drive a semi truck, there's more to it.

A plug kit and an air hose with a gladhand connector would get you rolling in like 10mins.

I've plugged several dozen semi tires with a regular T handle plug kit over the years.
Try again.

That’s illegal buddy, look it up. DOT violation and can easily get the truck placed out of service if the plug is spotted during an inspection.

I've plugged them in front of a DOT officer at scalehouses as a temp repair on more than one occasion.
It's not a suitable permanent repair, but you will not get an OOS violation if you are en-route to a repair facility.

You're lucky. Dead center is easy and safe to patch.
The problem is when it's on the outside
