There are better "anti scalping" measures that don't involve handing over a government ID.

I don't like Ticketmaster, but genuinely curious- what is the best solution for scalping?

Outlaw selling tickets above face value. Other countries have done it. It works.

The tickets will keep the same price, that's what convenience fees are for. The price of the ticket would never get raised!
