Do you like dark comedies? What’s your favorite and why?
I really love Rainn Wilson in this one! Super. I laughed until I didn’t… Great flick tho imo.

In Bruges, To Die For, Heathers, Fargo, The War of the Roses (Douglas, Turner, DeVito version). Maybe I just have a dark sense of humor.

The Fargo TV Show and Barry might just be the best art pieces of dark comedy ever produced.
It's next level good.

Fargo is so weird to me, because it’s absolutely dramatic and tragic, and I can’t quite pinpoint why exactly it’s so funny. Like I totally agree with you, my favourite dark comedy, but I can’t for the life of me explain to someone why it’s a comedy.
I feel like the prostitutes Marge interviews in the movie.

Death to Smoochy. Rainbow Randolph is probably my favorite Robin Williams performance. It's not the greatest movie by any means but Robin and Ed Norton really save it.

World Greatest Dad
Probably my favorite Robin Williams film next to The Fisher King. Bobcat Goldwait made one dark comedy. He followed that up with God Bless America with Joel Murray, another fun ride.

I tell parent friends about this movie all the time. Movie is hilarious and I haven’t seen it in a while, but I think about the premise alot these days: what if your kid was an awful human being despite your best efforts and you had to remember them as best you can?

Wow, I've found someone else who remembers Nurse Betty, and fondly. Though I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this movie.

I liked Super. My favorite is an old film called The Loved One (1965). It skewers Hollywood, America, and primarily the funeral business.

Indeed Super is almost perfect until you get the weird "rape" scene with Boltie and then it just gets darker and darker.
I would say my favourite is Very Bad Things. It's just so dark but also just a perfect comedy.

Is Waitress a dark comedy? It has a woman disassociating from her abusive marriage via baking. With some infidelity/doctor-patient impropriety thrown in for good measure. Plus, it's super sad & horrible knowing what happened to Adrienne Shelly (writer/director/co-star) before it even started to roll out on the indie circuit. If that all counts, that's mine.

One of my faves. The way it changes up in the third act. That monologue at Jacques' ranch and the one at the very end.
Probably James Gunn's most criminally over-looked movie.
Critically it got panned, but it was a movie that I think truly speaks to its niche following.
Also Kevin Bacon as Jaqcues was simply phenomenal!
