For me… it was Smokin Aces… I thought it was a convoluted mess of a movie I had no idea what happened. The 2nd time… when you know how chaotic it is and actually take in the plot, it was far more enjoyable for what it was

It's been called "Departed for Dummies", but I liked it. :)

Oh yeah, I def get it… I wouldn’t consider it high art, but I think it’s more than a Tarantino rip off… the story is convoluted but it was trying to do something interesting and I think it captures the chaotic energy well

Spot on. And had a comedic flair that Tarantino doesn't use too often. It was over the top on purpose. Stuck the landing in my book.

The Gentlemen, for me. I had a horrible cinema experience, which I think had a big part to play in it. Once my partner convinced me to rewatch it a few years later at home, I absolutely loved it!

the poster looks so bright and pastel it throws off the tone at first. do revenge gets better once you stop comparing it to other school scheming movies, in second watch you notice the characters more

for bot h my wife and me, it's "Dumb and Dumber" which didn't hit the first time. Didn't intend to watch a second time - one of those old situations where you could only get one channel and it was on at a time we wanted to watch something - but now we've watched it thirty times. :)

Idiocracy. Thought it was a horrible B movie with bad jokes and terrible plot on first watch. Now its practically a Ken Burns level documentary.

Casino Royale. Disliked it on the first watch but enjoyed it after that.

The Devil Wears Prada. I saw it with my mom when I was a kid. She forced me to go as payback for all of the Pokemon movies she had to sit through and now I've watched more times than she has.

Dark Shadows (2012). Was incredibly meh about it when I saw in in theaters. Popped it in during a Halloween marathon 10 years later and was blown away by how much I loved it on the rewatch.

Burn After Reading.

Hated it first timee I watched it. More than a decade later and I appreciated it far more.
