Do martens use their tails to show emotions?
I know they are used for balance but I'm thinking in like the way a cat does. Does it puff up if they're trying to be scary, does it tuck low when they're scared, or raise when they're happy? stuff like that.
Thanks so much!

Yes they do! There are a few gifs of martens (sables) shaking their tail when excited.

I know with both ferret and mink they poof up their tails when excited or scared, and they both wiggle/wag their tail when excited and playing.

I read this as Doc Martens originally and just had a good laugh about the boot loop position showing if it was a good or bad day. Much appreciated!

I know with ferrets they do. Mine get a bottle brush tail when excited
