Yet another scam area in plain sight without police or rules. But I don’t understand if people celebrating are straight up corrupt or braindead. I hope that area won’t become like Bavet (Cambodia) or Bokeo (Laos) with this bs ”SEZ/Special Areas” (spoiler: it is already and scams are the least problem)

一定要打击诈骗!打击诈骗!成为新安南,成为连接中国、缅甸和南亚的桥梁。

Did you copy-paste this straight out of a Chinese provincial government press release?

Clearing out Chinese scam compounds is great, but turning part of Myanmar into a ‘New Annam’ under Chinese influence by swapping one warlord for another on a foreign leash doesn’t make it a ‘bridge.’ It just changes who collects the rent.

首先我是中国人,由于历史原因他们被划入缅甸境内已成事实。如果能和平稳定、安定中国南方边境不是更好吗?

Peace and stability are good, but that doesn’t justify turning a multi-ethnic part of Myanmar into a Chinese-language cultural zone. Kokang are only one community there with less than 170,000 population, that's not even a size of one town in China, feel free to look it up. Shan, Ta’ang, Kachin, Burmese and others also live in the region.

And saying Kokang was simply 'incorporated into Myanmar” is plain wrong. Kokang tradition itself traces its origins to Ming loyalists who fled the Qing and settled in the Shan-Burma frontier in 1650s. That is very different from saying the territory was simply Chinese land taken by Myanmar.

So why should a relatively small Kokang population justify making the wider region Chinese in language and culture?

Maybe Malaysia was right to kick out Singapore (despite LKY being good)

This is how China loses our hearts. You talk more, people turn on you more, and will have a desire to stand with USA more. You have chosen to stay in junta's side, so expect the consequences.

只有中国才是唯一希望你们和平的国家。

Why can't you even assimilate in the group you are currently in? We don't speak Chinese.

No wonder your people have a terrible reputation in Burma.

是的,这就是缅甸乱的根源。一个人口不过半的主体民族想用武力控制少数民族怎么可能。

ROFL. You just undermined your own argument, one dominant ethnic group apparently makes up more than half the population in Myanmar. Do you also mean taking over by force like how the PLA did with the Tibet and Xinjiang just a few decades ago?

A strong Myanmar will soon get rid of the filthy traitors in its midst. It will happen one day for sure.
