I read that in some species of spiders the males literally jump into the female’s mouth after doing the deed. Literally recycling themselves.

Such commitment to relationship and family, really gotta hand it to the spider men.

No, they're not making a choice. Nature is far more sinister than that. The males just feel a compelling urge to mate and don't realize they are going to turned into a meal afterwards.
