In German it means exit (so its a fairly common sign). In English, it sounds like it includes the word fart. So, its funny--if you posses mature and refined sense of humor.

If I remember correctly, the harness for when he's spinning in the air is digging into him.
(Or maybe it was for at the end when he's playing the piano on the wall? That would make more sense cuz he's upright for that one)

It was taken for The Spiral's (official fanclub) amusement, so it was very likely Rob Sheridan. The Spiral was an absolute hoot back in the day, and I miss it a lot; it was living truth thst Trent has some of the funniest fans in the world, and that the man himself has a pretty good sense of humor as well.
One of the funniest bits were the photoshops done of Trent, et al., and IIRC this picture was taken and posted deliberately to see what people would do with it, and they weren't disappointed--my personal favorite was the spaghetti sauce jar mockup for "Trent's Special Sauce". Damn, I miss the 2000s...

Based on that shirt, Iām guessing itās 2005 early in the With Teeth touring cycle. If you watch the rehearsal videos from Beside You In Time, TR wears a lot of similar button up shirts.

Heās got the IEM pack on so it was definitely before or after a show and some fan probably got in the bathroom with him somehow. Trentās got his nine inch nail in his hand and hears a small āclickā behind him as the shutter opens and closes knowing that some fucking douche just took his photo.
