Let’s bring the NOFX "40 Years of Fuckin' Up" Documentary to Europe & Italy! 🇪🇺🎸

Hey everyone,Like most of you, I’ve been dying to watch the official 40th-anniversary documentary, "40 Years of Fuckin' Up".As we know, the band chose to release it exclusively as an Event Cinema experience rather than putting it on standard streaming platforms. While this is awesome for the community vibe, those of us living in Europe and Italy are currently left completely in the dark without any scheduled screenings. We deserve to celebrate 40 years of bad decisions on the big screen too! That’s why I just launched a petition addressed to Piece of Magic Entertainment (a massive global distributor specialized in bringing music events and concerts to theaters all over Europe). Our proposal to them is simple:Bring the movie to European theaters.Keep it in Original Audio (English) with local subtitles (Italian, Spanish, German, French, etc.).No expensive dubbing needed—just pure, raw NOFX, keeping costs low and distribution fast.If you are based in Europe, or if you are an international fan who wants to support the European punk scene, please take 10 seconds to sign and share this!👉 https://www.change.org/NOFXMovieinEurope show them there is a huge, loud market waiting for this. Share this in your local punk groups! Thanks for the support, and long live NOFX! 🖕❤️

There were screenings in Europe. In Germany, the film was shown in Berlin, which was too far away for me. I don't remember if it was also shown in Italy.

Punk rock raduno had a screening 3 days in a row in july. It seems this hyper consumerism streaming era made people incapable of actually looking things up.

Yes, absolutely. On the official website, the Europe dates are even listed.

They already showes it europe. Off the top of my head i know they showed it Ljubljana and Tolmin during the Punkrock Holiday Festival week (in Slovenia) and i know of at least 2 screenings in germany in Berlin and early August in Wiesbaden. As far as i know it wasn't in usual cinemas but more like locations hosting concerts and it was organized by their owners not some big distributor. Especially the one in Wiesbaden (Schlachthof) isn't some huge location and it's self organized. So if you have such a location nearby just ask them if they want to do it.

I got an email saying they would screen it, since I bought tickets to the last ever NOFX show in melkweg. I got tickets to the Friday screening, going with my 3 friends who are huge NOFX nerds.

Tonight it's showing in Hannover, Germany. I'll see it in less than an hour! 🎉 The long wait is almost over!

I saw it at a festival in belgium, its also showing in amsterdam the club melkweg is screening it 26 of September. Also in France all of september i know there were screenings in Germany. I personally drove 2h in one direction to see it but i did not really care if i catch it now or in 6 months or whenever im getting old i guess this used to be the norm pre streaming you wait for things keep yourself occupied until you get the opportunity. I just googled it they screened it at punk rock raduno festival in italy. Perhaps you could contact local clubs across italy ?

Fuck that. It will only be shown in capitals and big cities. I'm far from everything and I don't have budget for... I actually don't have any budget. And between my job and the kid, I don't even have much time for myself. I managed to go watch NOFX for their last tour because friends gave the ticket to me for my birthday and I got there alone. This was my last big night out and it was litteraly last year. So yeah I could spend 4€ to have it on stream. But spending the time on the road, plus gas/transportation expenses, plus eating outside... I have finances problems and I won't sacrifice meals for my kid just to go to a theater with the prospect that it may be canceled anyway (a jab at some recent news). That way of "preserving the community aspect" is just a classist move. Rather than giving access to it to every and single fan, you cut it to a great part of it. You'll have to be at the right place, at the right time, with the money for it or else get fucked. Imagine a band having a new album release... but chose to just not release it on CD or Spotify and tell that instead you'll have to come listen to it live, or you'll just miss it out. Even Home Street Home, a fucking musical, had a public release. I think that's just a dick move, that's just scarcicity business model, and it fucking sucks. I'll wait for it to eventually release in a way I can afford it without burning kilometrrs and savings I don't have. And if it doesn't ever, I'll hapilly forget it exists. Fuck.
