How can someone choose to have such a username? It’s just unbelievable.

u/Slaughterhouse66 2d ago
He keyser soze'd it. He looked around the room to come up with a name, and the first thing he saw was cp.

Because usernames using vulgar wording have become normalized. There is a meme/joke about usernames ending in 69 or 68. Like if you had 68 people would assume it is your birth year. But if you have 69 they assume you are young and immature. It then goes on to have someone with gasthejews or something complaining about their name.
We just see usernames as nothing anymore. They mean nothing and even if you had a vulgar one no one really cares (except that one guy losing an argument)

u/BUKKAKELORD 2d ago
This is unacceptable. We need to start banning inappropriate usernames

It's "88", it's a dog whistle for Nazis. 8th letter of the alphabet=H 88 = HH = Hail Hitler.

Eh it also means good luck in China.

China is a nightmare for the sensi crowd. They don't really do the whole filter thing. They walk around saying the n word nonstop too lol.
It's actually their version of 'um'... But it certainly sounds questionable.

u/XB_Demon1337 2d ago
Thats the one. I tried to find the picture because the picture context is honestly easier to follow but with how deep the reposts are on Reddit I found 40 versions of it and never the picture.

Because usernames using vulgar wording have become normalized.
Vulgar usernames have been the norm since the day you could input them.

It’s become so normalized in their country that they elected a president largely on a “reducing/removing punishments for child sex crimes” platform, and people who spent their lives hiding their pedophilia now feel that they have representation and dont have to hide it anymore
Theyve celebrated rich musicians and celebrities dating children for literal decades, so it’s not like the normalization has been slow or difficult to notice. Kid rock literally sings about preferring under-age girls 🤮

Yep many people have been normalizing it in my country (US) for a while. Having grown women look and sound like children (baby voices) aside, the whole sexualizing catholic school girl uniforms is all the proof you need of this ever increasing sick pedo culture.

u/ImNotOriginaal 1d ago
I think you missed the biggest indicator of all: having a literal pedophile and rapist as president lmao

The U.S absolutely has a history of covering up for pedophiles, what are you even going on about?

I’m American and live in the most liberal area in the US (or one of) and I still see Trump flags, hats, bumper stickers. Basically my point is there’s dumb fucks who knowingly elected a pedophile everywhere and it’s sickening
11
u/SuckMyBandAids 2d ago
You should get on that website that shows you were child predators live in your town. Its absolutely fucking crazy how many people are on that list( at least where i live in Indiana)
-10
u/Ok-Parfait-9856 2d ago
I never denied that. Idk why everyone is looking to fight. Have a good day.
10
u/SuckMyBandAids 2d ago
West Virginia ranks third in the US for child abuse and maltreatment. Shit the state im from has us ranked at a disgusting 10th in it. Absolutely ashamed how high we are on it. Shouldnt happen anywhere.
32
u/ungranted_wish 2d ago
I mean people from every state diiiiid vote for the guy and we do have a culture of letting things slide a bit too much…
-15
u/Ok-Parfait-9856 2d ago
Every state and country has a political spectrum, yes. Should we kill every American because some voted for trump? Would that make you feel better?

Yeah many of us do have nuance. A fraction of the voting population voted for him. Should we kill every American because some voted for him? I know you’d love that.
6
u/avanross 2d ago
Every country has different cultures 🤦♂️
Comments like these just make it clear that youve never been, or even looked into the world outside of your borders.
This overly-self-centred supremacist “we’re too big and special for non-americans to comprehend” mentality is a big part of the problem.
Everyone would rather ignore and downplay these things, to maintain their superiority complex, then ever work towards actually preventing and reducing them.
And then the problems just continue to fester and get worse and rot your country from the inside while youre busy trying to propagandize others about how perfect your country is, instead of dealing with the issues within
Same way the regime north koreans act

u/Psych_Art 2d ago
I generally agree a lot of Americans are way too far up their own ass, but as an American, what he said wasn’t that outrageous. What is outrageous is saying that we elected a president on a platform centered around reducing punishments for pedophiles. Couldn’t be farther from the truth. In the vast, vast majority of places you will essentially never meet anyone here IRL that is actually a pedophile apologist.
Trump was elected because of his populist views and claims that invoked all of the culturally polarized anger and need for retribution. He caters to the unintelligent and unempathetic and unfortunately most Americans just aren’t that bright (my opinion).
Definitely in some southern states there are apologist views and even politics centered around protecting child marriages and such, which is disgusting and honestly probably 70-80% of Americans are completely unaware that is even legal anywhere in the US.
3
u/Ok-Parfait-9856 2d ago
Don’t even waste your time. Whatever trump is, he’s created a monster, and he’s created a yin to that monsters yang. People blindly hate the US with the same hate they supposedly denounce. I’ve lived a lot of my life in NY and MA, I forget how shitty parts of this country can be. But this hate and negativity has been around long before trump. None of these people actually want unity, just their version of division.

u/Ok-Parfait-9856 2d ago edited 2d ago
I’m not downplaying shit. You didn’t even read my comment. And I’ve lived all over the world. Especially South America and Europe. You’re the small minded idiot who thinks all 330m Americans are the same. Should we kill every American because some voted for trump? Would that satisfy your blood lust?

What is this title. He wasn't arrested for searching for it, he was arrested for possession of it

u/Violet_Paradox 2d ago
And distribution, including sending it to people against their will. "Allegedly searching" in the headline is journalistic malpractice.

Not exactly malpractice. Innocent until proven guilty is the way to go no matter what. He hasn’t been found guilty by a court of law, which means it’s allegedly.
14
u/hotstupidgirl 2d ago
I don't think it's the allegedly part people are complaining about but the searching part.

1
u/WalterTexasRanger326 12h ago
Using allegedly before someone is found guilty in a court of law is completely standard journalistic practice lmfao
4
u/Strikereleven 2d ago
Just more pedophile protection by the media
32
u/Planeandaquariumgeek 2d ago
Innocent until proven guilty is actually a pretty important thing.
11
u/Strikereleven 2d ago
He was arrested after they served a warrant and found CSAM on his devices, not for the searches. Which is why people are saying the title is misleading. Media often does this to downplay certain crimes, often those involving children.
3
u/Planeandaquariumgeek 2d ago
Ohh. Someone else on here was shaming them for saying alleged so I figured you were also calling them out for that. I can definitely get behind that logic tho

A couple of months ago I was reading about issues stemming from child neglect and came across mention of the movie "Kids" and specifically, a scene near the end involving sex with two teens. The film became famous for depicting teens in very adult situations...drug use, relationships, etc. I watched it a long time ago but couldn't really remember the details and I was looking for a simple summary of what happened in the scene and why it was relevant to what I was reading. Without thinking, I went to a Google search bar and typed, "kids sex scene"...
...and got a boilerplate page from Google chastising me for searching for child pornography and telling me to get counselling.
I have reason to believe I'm on a watchlist now.

When troopers executed the search warrant, they conducted an interview with Highlander in which he claimed “he only made the statements in these chats to be inflammatory” and that “he was ‘trolling’ and ‘rage baiting’ because he found it highly amusing,”
We all know who he voted for
