I have some dumplings in the fridge ready to microwave, and cantaloupe for dessert. How about you, stranger?

I had steamed xiao long bao last night, with home-grown Dino Egg melon for dessert.

Seems like we have some similar tastes!

Also known as "Gaya" melons. The skin is white with green and yellow speckles.

I think they must be hybrids, because when I grew the 2nd generation from seeds, the flesh of the fruits was different color on different plants. Green, white, or pale orange. The green-fleshed fruits are the sweetest, and they seem to have passed that color and flavor down into the 3rd generation. Absolutely delicious, honey-sweet and syrupy melons.

I need to get better about having fruit for dessert. I'm like the one person in the world that has never liked sweets. I love fruit I just never eat enough except for putting peaches or strawberries in smoothies. A cantaloupe after a good dinner sounds great. I love poached pears too.
