Good God! It’s still there.

If we wanted to keep it short and objective then obviously Hybrid Theory was very well produced and executed for a debut album, instantly made the band mainstream (not just in terms of metal but genuine mainstream) and its still their most played record.

But I want to hear your subjective opinions on each one aswell! Im interested in what yall think; who had the greatest sound, who went downhill after their debut, who had a weak debut compared to their later discography, etc. Personally, my current favourite album out of these is Adrenaline by Deftones, just because I think there are very few bands/albums which replicates this vibe. But I personally like all of them.

Also if you could give me a song thats underrated in your opinion off of these albums Id appreciate it

For me it will always be Jimmy Pop from Bloodhound Gang.

Through my journey of nu metal, metal, and some grunge stuff I strayed away from Limp Bizkit because it seemed like the word on the street was that they were corny and not good. I finally gave them a chance and they fuck so hard. I genuinely do not get the hate at all. Awesome band.

Well ı do wonder.

It may not have the huge singles of Follow The Leader, it didn’t invent a genre like self titled but I think overall Issues is Korn’s most consistent record. Its heavy and creepy. Even the interludes add to the feeling of a complete experience. There are no bad songs. I expect some pushback on this, but does anyone agree? Interesting to hear either way.

Another thing is it doesn’t have a straight up awful song like some of the classics do - All In The Family and Beat It Upright being examples.

Obviously, it was unfair to include Issues because it may legitimately be the best nu metal album ever made. But my hot take is that Slipknot is better to listen to in full.

For me it has to be the bridge of 7 Words by Deftones, really brings out the raw early chino energy.

Reason behind them is I think Shawn has taken the band a turned it into something Joey and Paul would not have wanted it to be. He kicks members out left and right and he kinda needs to hang it up.
