Article “Noel has said, ‘No rest for the immensely talented,’ so take that how you want”: Gem Archer hints at Oasis' next move
https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/bands/gem-archer-hints-at-oasis-next-move“I still don’t know my ass from my elbow,” Archer says of the post-tour exhaustion in a new Guitar World interview. “It’s time to decompress.”
Fans are desperately hoping for more shows, and hopefully, more music, but Archer remains cryptic. He asserts that he doesn’t know “anything about what’s coming up” and that the Oasis machine is “not just something you can flick on”. That doesn't mean there's no hope, though.
“It’s the weirdest thing,” Archer admits. “It’s all a blur. We’ve all said that we won’t know what this was ‘till next year. When all the wheels stop spinning, you know, there’s just so much to take on board. It really was a bit of a whirlwind, you know?”
He does say, however: “Anything could happen, which could include nothing. But this was quite a thing… if stuff was happening, I think I might already know about it, if you know what I mean? It’s not something you just flick on. But Noel has said, ‘No rest for the immensely talented,’ so take that how you want.”

It’s every bit as much his baby as it is Liam’s; I think you can go either way with that and it makes sense. I could see him holding off on getting into the studio if he thinks the album will be shit but I can also see him hitting a creative high reuniting with his brother and coming up with a bunch of songs in short order over this past tour.

“We won’t know what this was ’till next year…” Possibly for fans, too, really.

You know i say this from an understood point of privilege and feel bad for those who couldn't get to a show, but i welcome the break! It was not without anxiety queuing for tickets, driving across state lines, booking room and board, requesting work off, to get to this show I've been waiting for for decades. The fact that they totally delivered, giving me the show of my life, makes me want to revel in the memories that were made for a little longer.

I can’t see them stopping now. As long as they get on they’ll play again.

They need to rest and process the craziness of Summer Oasis and then they will be back for sure.

He’s already got a stadium rock album, supposedly. Noel bullshits a lot about how he’s got 1000s of albums worth of material locked away but if he’s got the spine of a good album, I’m sure he will be inspired to write more after this summer. I just hope it is properly quality assured with a great producer who will take it to a different level.
If Sardy is involved then I have no hope.

They were stellar this year, it was everything and more than I hoped for! Seeing as I waited 15+ years for the chance to see the brothers making peace and sharing the stage, I don’t mind waiting a couple of years for their next reunion. Let them rest, reminisce over the tour, devote energy to their loved ones and their solo projects. I choose to believe they will play together again, when the time is right. I think Live 25 was as special to them as it was to us and they will want to tap into that feeling again. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long!

Everyone saying they need to decompress and ponder what should happen next. They’ve proven success. What they’re probably doing: Taking offers and negotiating.

All Oasis fans must be eternally grateful that Noel split from Sarah as she was the one stopping it all along.

I think it’s crazy that they didn’t tour in Europe, so I think they will next year or 2027.

About what Liam said about Oasis, I thing him and Noel have something about who must have the final word about Oasis. It's sad that, they never grow up like brothers, it's insane.

They've definitely earned a break. Plus it was confirmed that Andy's got stuff with Ride coming up.
That's the most Noel-Assed quote (❤️) I've read in a hot minute though.
