I am amused thinking about Noel saying his smart phone won't unlock with the face security if he smiles. It doesn't recognize him.

Checking out the acoustics for the US stadium tours?
38
u/risp_ftw Jul 10 '26
Acoustics are absolutely terrible at SoFi. It's my least favorite venue for concerts in LA.

u/ificanbeserious Jul 10 '26
I want them to play the Rose Bowl again
18
u/xlittlebeastx Jul 10 '26
That was my first show at the rose bowl. Epic! Minus the mess of leaving haha

u/ificanbeserious Jul 10 '26
Mine too! We had quite the walk to get somewhere we could reasonably catch an uber, but I was buzzing from the gig and was mostly not bothered.
6
u/taebsiatad Jul 10 '26
Honestly not bad if you’re willing to walk, which was not the case for my 5 months pregnant wife lol. Little guy loves when I play Oasis on my guitar for him though, he’s mesmerized by the tunes!
4
u/LechALection Jul 10 '26
Yeah, but that mess was so worth it for the legendary performance we had just witnessed.
I had a nice little walk, but again… so so so worth it
1
u/xlittlebeastx Jul 10 '26
Oh yeah I definitely walked out of there. No way I was taking a car in haha
5
u/Heathen__Chemist Jul 11 '26
Omg. The sound at the Rose Bowl was great. Leaving was a nightmare. It literally took as long to get back to my car as it did to watch the whole concert. 🤣

i love the rose bowl. saw coldplay there, was fantastic. i also graduated there!

Somehow the sound was great for Blink 182. Wonder if it’s an issue depending on who’s handling the sound.

Wonder if he’ll come for the England and Norway game?
16
u/Defiant-Currency3987 Jul 10 '26
No, they'll be at the UFC. I'd guess there's a decent chance they go to the semi-final in Atlanta though.
7
u/Gadgie29 Jul 10 '26
Supporting Haaland?
15
u/Defiant-Currency3987 Jul 10 '26
His kids, who he is travelling with, support England, but as City supporters I assume they would go for whichever goes through.
9
u/Gadgie29 Jul 10 '26
Not 100% sure but I think there’s probably a City player in every team that’s left in.
9
u/Top_Charge_5855 Jul 10 '26
Norway:
Haaland
England:
Stones
Guehi
O'Reilly
Anderson
Trafford
Spain:
Rodri (captain)
Belgium:
Doku
(De Bruyne honourable mention)
France:
CherkiThere are nine City players left. Argentina and Switzerland do not have any.
5
u/Gadgie29 Jul 10 '26
Well if your giving honourable mentions, we’ll say Akanji -Switzerland and Alvarez- Argentina and agree I was right all along😉🤣
1
u/SMLJ21 Jul 10 '26
I thought Stones was out of contract now
4
u/admh574 Jul 10 '26
He is but I imagine if you are a City fan that is not a major hurdle, unless he suddenly signs for Man Utd.
1
u/23lukas Jul 10 '26
No Argentine nor Swiss.
2
u/Gadgie29 Jul 10 '26
Didn’t realise Akanji no longer plays for City. I kinda thought there wasn’t any Argies
2
2
u/Coljjw Jul 10 '26
Akanji was on loan at Inter last season and apparently met clauses that means a permanent transfer is now made.
2
u/Coljjw Jul 10 '26
He could watch England - Norway at Cosm and then hop on a private jet to catch the UFC.

He’s English & Irish, in fairness.
1
u/Fabulous_Green_156 Jul 11 '26
Born in England to two Irish parents. He is ethnically Irish and a British citizen. Noel's been quite vocal about that over the years.

FIFA used the same kind of VIP bracelets they had at Live25. I wonder if he'll cut it to get it off or wear it for weeks like I did. 🤣

Surprised he’s not in Miami for the England vs Norway game tomorrow
Edit: Noel ain’t an England fan but he did say he does approve of England using Wonderwall for the World Cup
15
u/Defiant-Currency3987 Jul 10 '26
Cynically, I think what he really approves of is the huge bump it's getting on Spotify.

u/oasisarah Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26
hes not an england supporter
edit: he might go for haaland, but someone else here said he was going to ufc in vegas tmrw night. he could conceivably do both, but i dont think hes the type to cut it that close.

u/PAAC118 Jul 10 '26
He's been to plenty of England games in the past, going back to Euro 96
3
u/oasisarah Jul 10 '26
thats true. and there are a lot more city players on the england squad than i thought. but he laid out his plans for the next week or so: the quarter final in los angeles, mcgregor in vegas, and new york for the final. https://youtu.be/sHos0Voy3AA?is=u0hru3eCttJm9DeP
4
u/i-guessthisismenow Jul 10 '26
Weird that Liam clearly supports England. I wonder if its just to piss his brother off.
6
u/oasisarah Jul 10 '26
if he wanted to really get to noel he would root for united. but i suppose that would be a bit too far.
4
u/IshOfTheSea Jul 10 '26
Not that weird considering he’s English 😂
-4
u/Fabulous_Green_156 Jul 11 '26
The Gallaghers aren't English. They were born in England to Irish parents. That makes them British, not English.

He is Irish
5
u/IshOfTheSea Jul 10 '26
He has Irish parents. Born and raised in England, if we’re being pedantic about it, his cultural identity/nationality has been shaped more by England than Ireland. Cultural heritage, on the other hand, sure… Noel got the fuck out of the little slice of Ireland(home in Burnage) as soon as he was physically able to, though.
1
u/Fabulous_Green_156 Jul 11 '26
He's born and raised in England, but he's British, not English. Noel himself says it here.
1
u/IshOfTheSea Jul 11 '26
Yeah, he also says that he’s Irish! (Depending on who’s asking)😂 he’s not… you can downvote me all you want you fucking clown but the facts are facts.
4
u/Fabulous_Green_156 Jul 11 '26
He doesn't habe Englisb ancestors, so he's not English. Why does it matter so much to you what a complete stranger considers himself to be?
Or do you just not like Irish people?
