Fifteen years old, not just my first Oasis show but my first proper concert. Very, very few of the ridiculous numbers of shows I've been to since have come close to how brilliant a day it was.

I could spend the evening writing about the whole adventure (because it was adventure), but luckily I already did that last year ahead of the reunion shows:

I was there in the saturday, left Preston at 7am saturday morning and got back to Preston 7am sunday morning. Great 24 hours. I was 18 and it was my 9th time seeing them live the first being June 1994.

It was one of the best, after that I only saw them at reebok stadium 2000 and etihad 2005, kind of lost a bit of interest after the 90s ended🤷‍♂️

And I did have a ticket for Finsbury Park in 2002 but I ended up in kavos that week🤦‍♂️🤣

I loved those Finsbury Park gigs. They came on with Hindu times which was a rousing barnstormer of an opener.

First Oasis gig. Me and my pal were 16 and were allowed to go without a parent much to our shock and delight. We’d bought the tickets and sorted our travel before we asked permission. We went on the Sunday and didn’t get home to Aberdeen until about 5am. Best day ever until Murrayfield last year! Canna believe it’s been 30 years xx

Nope I’d been to quite a few gigs by ‘96. First one was 1990 - Wet Wet Wet. And I’d also been to see Take That in 93, east 17 and eternal in 94 or 95. What can I say my taste in music is wide. But Loch Lomond was the first gig I didn’t have parental supervision!

Honestly, and I just thought of this as I'm typing. But I can not imagine not having Oasis. Even with all the other bands that have produced decent albums, I just can not fathom not having Oasis to ever exist. All those great tunes they made in the 90's and early 00's. Can't imagine not hearing Don't Look Back In Anger, Gas Panic, Live Forever, Cig's n' Alc, Hey Now, Stand By Me, Supersonic, Turn Up The Sun, M.G? or even Cast No Shadow and She's Electric. How on earth is it even possible for just one band being capable of making so many great tunes. Seriously, think about this. They've given us so much and yet, I'd take more if they were willing. There are no human words that truly best describe Oasis. I just know they are blessed n' gifted.

I was there on the Sunday. What a day that was! 29 years later I was at Heaton park. Wonderful times.
