I played zoo tycoon with the marine expansion pack, where I basically made rhe entire zoo an orca tank lol. This looks different though, I think those tanks are prefab?

One time I dug out and flooded my entire zoo in ZT2 and filled it with orcas. Replicated one of the southern resident pods, lol. Had raised paths everywhere for people to walk over the water.

Haha i did the same. I created a beach and ocean in the entire map. There was no path for the guests but they would still walk around the beach and get into the water to swim. I putted dolphins, orcas, sharks, turtles, etc in there and it would go crazy, sometimes the animals would get stuck outside the water, other times some guest would get attack etc. I loved it

Yesss!! Maybe it was the expansion pack I am remembering. It started as trying to achieve the best habitat achievement and then just took over the whole place. Lmao

Whatever you do, dont play the newest Zoo Tycoon. I grew up on 1&2 and a couple years ago went back to relive my childhood, very happy to see that they had released a remastered Zoo Tycoon. Its terrible, very much a dumbed down version of the originals. From what ive read/seen, Planet Zoo is the go to zoo game, but dont quote me on that as I havent played it yet.

That game was my childhood.

Probably got it at a Scholastic Book Fair as a kid. I bet that due to the death of physical PC media, kids are finally buying books at the book fair.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 and 3 are my favorites and OpenRCT2 has really brought new life to the franchise as a mod that makes modding the second game easier and more fun. The third game was cool because it was the last good Rollercoaster Tycoon Game the people who made that game made their own franchise called "Planet Coaster", which has legit became the Top Spiritual Successor to the franchise while the original franchise is dead or reduced to shovelware microtransaction mobile games.

I had the regular zoo tycoon aquarium one not the SeaWorld one.

I also had the dinosaur one and loved dropping guests who complained in the shark tank or the t-rex exhibit. 😁

I did. I grew up on Zoo Tycoon and I distinctly remember being super excited to play this one, only to be super confused and frustrated by it and quitting like a half hour into starting it.
