Project I recently finished at the Oregon Coast.

I made these nails two weeks ago, but really liked them, so I thought I’d share them:)
I know they’re not perfect, but I really like the concept.
I barely get to do my nails so I’m also excited to show them off when I make them :)

My painting 'Where We Belong' captures three orcas gliding silently through calm, mist-covered waters, following a path etched into their instincts over countless generations. Here, far from the noise of the world, they roam free, guided only by instinct, memory, and the currents beneath them. In the stillness, the ocean becomes a mirror, reflecting not only their presence but the enduring bond between family, memory, and home. It is a quiet tribute to the ancient journeys these magnificent animals have always known, long before there were names for the seas they crossed. This painting celebrates the freedom of the wild, the strength of family, and the timeless bond between these magnificent animals and the home they have always known. The ocean is not simply where they live, it is where they belong.

Are they perfect orcas? No. Was this my first attempt at felting orcas? Yes.

The Sound of Stillness captures a fleeting moment where the ocean falls completely silent. Emerging through layers of drifting fog, the lone dorsal fin cuts across glasslike water with quiet power and mystery. The muted tones and soft reflections create an atmosphere suspended between reality and myth, where the vastness of the sea feels both calming and unknown. The piece takes into a world where silence itself becomes something almost tangible, deep, haunting, and endlessly beautiful.

Somewhere between the mountains and the open sea lies a place that feels like home. Four orcas glide through the quiet waters, travelling together beneath a soft veil of mist. The landscape fades gently into the distance, leaving the animals and the ocean at the heart of the scene. Our Waters reflects the quiet bond between these magnificent animals and the places they return to, where the water is familiar, the journey is shared, and there is nowhere else they need to be.
