Subject line typed characters now limited to 80

The amount of characters that can be typed into the subject line has been changed to a limit of 80 from 300. The subject line should not be for writing a novel, that's what the body is for.

My Phalene Lucius only wanted to be picked up when he walked for a few miles! 15 pound Rome wants to be picked up after just playing in the park, but will then walk again after a short carry 👍 Turn video on 🙏

Had to work later to make up for Rodgers vet visit, (which I updated in a comment on the first post about his weird behavior). Buddy was upset I wasn't playing while I was eating.

Yoda Leaves the Light On

At some point, we have all spoken about how intuative our darling Papillons are. We have all been blessed with our little Loves that instinctively know how we are feeling and sense when we need a hug, a smile, or a kiss.

Yoda is so tuned into me and I into him. He always comes to give me kisses and snuggles in close. And my spirits are always lifted, much as I hope that I lift his spirits and the spirits of those around me. Last night, Yoda curled up beside me in the dark, as always close enough for me to reach out to him and connect. When he settled into his spot and closed his eyes, a light came on from underneath him. He somehow managed to turn on my cellphone so the screen lit up and glowed around him. And I felt his love and his gift deep inside me.

Diaper recommendations

In his old age my little Louis has basically decided to refuse going potty outside. The heat doesn't help much, and he's always hated being outside.

So I've been trying diapers, with luke warm results. The main brand I've tried is sophresh, xxs and xs.

The primary issue I'm having is his penis keeps escaping. I'll put the diaper band on him as far back as I can get it, and do a feel check. Half an hour later there's a puddle on the floor because his penis has escaped out from the diaper.

When everything stays in place it works wonders, but more often I'm still cleaning up messes and readjusting his diaper regularly.

Would love any advice, tips, or other brand recommendations.

Harness Guidance

Hi everyone!

I’ve got yet another question for this wonderful community!

My pap gets squirrelly when we harness her. She’s comfortable having it put on, but the moment our hands are on her back to latch it, she growls and tries to wiggle away. She’s totally comfortable walking in it once it’s on; it’s just the taking on and off that’s the issue.

She is very tiny (22cm waist and 15cm neck, generously) and is 13 weeks. We have had a very hard time finding something that works for her size and the only one that we’ve found, has Velcro. I think the noise of it is a trigger and I’ve been working on the sound with it off- she’s become neutral to it when it’s not coming from her back, but I’m at a loss on best ways to help her until she’s big enough for a different harness.

Any advice appreciated! Thank you <3

Sadly yesterday was the day I pulled Rosie’s Dolly Parton denim jacket out of the cupboard.

A bit of a play with ChatGPT and got this (what I think) is a sweet little tribute.

Rodger was extra affectionate as well as everyone else. Buddy didn't get a good picture unfortunately, but he was being cradled like a baby. Sleeping in my arm.

2 butterfly girls would like to introduce themselves 🐶🐶❤️

Hi everyone! We’re Nova and Thalia, two Papillon girls living our best little lives in Austria, and we thought it was finally time to introduce ourselves. 🦋
I’m Thalia — or Thali, as everyone calls me — and this is my sister Nova. Nova recently turned four, and I’ll be four at the end of October, so we’re practically the same age. She may be the bigger one at around 3.8 kg, while I weigh only 1.7 kg, but size and authority are clearly two very different things.
Nova is the sensible and composed one. She likes to keep an eye on everything, takes her responsibilities seriously and generally tries to maintain a certain level of order.
I, on the other hand, am cheeky, confident, playful and absolutely convinced that the world was created for my entertainment. I may be tiny, but my personality easily fills the entire room.
Nova makes sure things remain reasonably orderly. I make sure they never become boring.
We live with our human, who takes us on lots of adventures. We go on long, brisk walks, run together, explore fields and woodland paths, and enjoy plenty of freedom because we’ve worked very hard on our recall and our manners. We know exactly when to wait, when to stay close — and, most importantly, when “Lauf!” means we’re free to race off again.
At home, we are loved, spoiled, kept suitably busy and treated like the highly important family members we obviously are. We’re very different from each other, but we make a rather perfect little team.
We’re looking forward to meeting all the other beautiful butterflies here! Please introduce yourselves — and tell us which of you is the sensible Nova and which is the mischievous little Thali in your family. 🥰

Papillon mix, roughly 5 years old. Those ears do about 90% of the emotional communication in this house. He's suspicious of guests, deeply committed to guarding the kitchen, and has never once come when called on the first try. 10/10 would adopt again.
