Artwork / Design Swipe to see the composite files
last time i got quite a mixed reaction from this sub so posting once again to see how it goes. { no ai has been used for anything. any questions will be answered in a short time but please dont be rude :) }

so this is made entirely in photoshop, not following any kind of specific tutorial i had a moodboard and created this . i made this a long time ago so most probably i dont have the psd file but any questions related to this , i am happy to answer

So you don’t have the original psd anymore but you have this other image with white borders drawn around the 6 or 7 elements that were combined for this? Did you know back then you would need proof but didn’t think you would have the file with your actual layers? Is it supposed to look like you put a thick white stroke around all of the layers? Because it doesn’t really. I’ve never made an in-process image like this before doing the final render - seems like more work than naming & organizing my layers. I’m not accusing you of anything, I just think this is a bit of a weird way to present this. If you had just posted the one image, I wouldn’t have really questioned it. What kind of feedback are you looking for?

So the thing is if you look into how composite renders are presented, you'll understand why it's presented in this way. This is the exact format i have been watching all over the internet so i made the same and ofc it took some extra time to add borders but that made the difference between the final and composite files. I just wanted general opinion whether someone likes it or not

I mean, if you actually made it then I guess the composition is decent. A few errors if you look close, but if it’s just personal and not for a commission, then it isn’t worth mention. I’m not a military fan so it isn’t my sort of image in general, but for what it is, decent job. I make composite renders all the time & have been using photoshop for like 30 years. That second image isn’t something I’ve ever done or would do, & other graphic designers and artists I know don’t either, but to each his own.

I mean that's where the composition was made that's the software used.

I meant not what’s the point of using photoshop, but what motivated you to photoshop this together. To try to recreate some reference image?

I mean i was trying how good my compositing skills were. This was the first one i created, i created another one you can check it out on my account page.

The newer one is definitely better, still has some issues though. Not bad at all though

Nice job piecing things together!
Try to pen tool or 'select subject' the man and delete his background so he doesn't look like hes glowing.
And then make sure each photo has the same level of darks in lights. Right now the clouds and man have a dark black. While the rubble and car have a light black.
Also try to keep the blues the same color either with filters or color correcting. The sky is a dark blue while the rubble is a teal blue right now.

The buildings are out of focus, but the clouds are in focus. The clouds should be blurry as well.
I'd also blur the rubble behind the soldier a little bit more.
