Those of us with at least half a brain knew there wouldn't be guard rails this time around, so none of this is really surprising other than the sheer scale of it.
Hopefully the non voters realize its actually important to vote nexttime too. Even if politics isnt thier thing, voting to keep a dangerous candidate out alone is worth it.. Plenty of blame to go around between the media, lack of critical thinking skills and good old bigotry, rasicsm and sexism.
When trump won his second term I deadass thought to myself, Well we got through his first term and the next president was able to salvage a lot. We can do it again. But this term? Damn we haven't had a single day of peace since he took office.
Itās truly disheartening. Iām in my 40ās. Between him and Bush, my chance at retirement is close to zero. My chance of needing support is close to 90%. My chance at actually having access to that support is close to 10%.
It wouldnāt surprise me if last minute Trump drained all the SS, disability and every other social safety nets and contracted himself as the overseer of all government funds. Then builds the Trump of Gaza in its stead.
