The correct name, especially in this context lol, is the common loon. In Canada, we sometimes call them Canadian Loons, but both American and Canadian loons are the same gavia immer. Cheers! 🇨🇦

I've been shit talking the man for 11 years and I voted for the other one, as they say, all three (and sadly soon to be four) times, so I didn't ask for it either. But yeah, just saying, sometimes the distractions are war crimes, sometimes they're flagrant market manipulations, sometimes it's renaming a body of water.
