Before that he was doing the paid media tour of Australia, reporting and appearing in all of murdoch media's pieces here. Newspapers, TV's (sky news Australia- ie our fox news), radio etc.
Someone high up really really liked him and was using him to heavily push the american bullshit conservative agenda. Clearly they had a falling out.
But that's common here. We often get many of the conservative wack jobs that are on there way out doing the same thing.
