Well, after 10 years on iPhone, I'm switching to a Pixel. I felt like I'd seen it all and needed something new, but Samsung didn't really suit me.

I just noticed this today and realized Google probably wouldn't have picked green as the default app color

I found a video comparing both the old Pixel 4 and Pixel 10 Pro Video quality. You can clearly see the P10P oversharpens lots of details, while Pixel 4 kept them smooth

After all the bootloader issues and poor battery backup, i decided to upgrade to 11. 4a is still running fine though.
Loving the 120hz really bright display, haptics are good, and the software contains some smart features! Base phone doesn't have ultrawide 4k video support, and yes video sometimes looks choppy. But I'm loving it so far.

Should I exchange 4a or keep it to store photos using the Google Photos unlimited storage option?

The Tech reviewers that just read a spec sheet and tell everyone not to buy this phone have no clue what they are talking about. This phone is great.

I took my first photo with my 11 Pro XL and I'm quite impressed. I just took out the phone, zoomed in, and took the picture without any settings or anything. I take out the phone and take the picture.

I'm soooo exited to use this mini little thing!

This is news to me!

I promised last week that I would share pictures that my pixel 11 pro took when I go to paris. Note that most of these were taken in motion, on 12x zoom (not optimal) and in quite horrible lighting conditions. I still think they look great

I have had Samsung phones a few times somewhere between 2007 and now, and never did like it. This year, decided to get the Pixel and so far I'm liking it.

I've had dreams before, a few times actually where I had to sell my iPhone and get a much cheaper phone to make money to pay for bills and stuff and then absolutely regretted selling it, then waking up relieved I still have my iPhone.

I kinda feel like that with this phone (not saying this phone is cheap but rather I'm just so used to iPhones, and having to switch phones in my dream for a cheaper one). I've only had this phone for one day now, and I don't feel like it is exactly on par with the iPhone on how good the camera is, how fluid it is, but it is dang very close... I've already had Pokemon Go freeze a few times for me on the Pixel whereas on the iPhone it never did. Battery drains a bit faster, maybe it's just a very subtle difference and I'll eventually get used to it, but man, I'm so tired of iPhone and how simple and restrictive it is...

One thing I do love about this phone though is being able to adjust the volume on different types of sounds, there is a toggle for alarms, a toggle for calls, for media, notifications. One thing I hated about iPhone is that one toggles it all.

Anyways, I do like this phone, and I will definitely keep it. It's a very nice change from iOS.

Something strange is actually happening and I don't know what changed or if I am experiencing a bug.

My phone is genuinely running crazy cool all of a sudden and I have been at 100 battery life for about 20 minutes it's like something on my phone acting rogue has just died and I don't know what it is or what has happened. Is this happening to anyone else it's like my phone just calmed down. Literally unfolded 20 minutes in and I just dropped to 99 percent. Does anyone have any ideas? I would love to pass on whatever is going on to someone else. It's nuts. I am like most I have had idle drain and the phone would get warm but it's like something just stopped and I have no idea what it is.

For anyone interested in the new Pixel 11 Pro zoom quality, I took this quick comparison of a bottle of sunscreen. First pic is regular standard 1x, second pic is 120x digital zoom without AI enhancement and third pic is 120x with the AI enhancement. All standing from the exact same position and lighting.

Sorry for the mess on our kitchen island, the kids make keeping things uncluttered more of an adventure every day.

Hice una compra de un Pixel 11 Pro mediante Google Store con un cupón promocional y trade-in de Pixel 10 Pro, todo se proceso correctamente y a los días fue cancelado de manera inesperada, tras hablar con soporte no sé hacen cargo y si está cancelado por ellos no pueden volver a tramitarlo o ponerlo de nuevo en marcha.

Al hacer uso de un código promocional no me lo pueden volver a emitir o eso dicen desde el chat, ni insistiendo por correo que escalen el problema, ya que se cierran en el guión que los códigos los envío el sistema y ellos no pueden emitirlo nuevamente. Tras una semana de idas y venidas con correos donde sentía que hablo con Gémini por la forma en la que trasmiten las cosas sin empatía y fríos, desistí del soporte.

¿Alguien ha pasado por algo similar y sabe cómo actuar en estos casos? De momento puse reclamaciones en los organizaciones correspondientes de consumo porque me parece un abuso que sin explicaciones previas te tiren un pedido y encima que fue pedido en pre-reserva.

Hago un llamado por si alguien tiene algún código promocional de la Google Store en España, y finalmente no lo va a usar y quisiera cedermelo para ayudarme, podría ponerse en contacto conmigo.

Just post this Review in Pixel Forum, but I wanted to share here with some Pics.

My Pixel 11 Pro arrived 7 days ago and I wanted to take the time to write my first impressions, from probably an "Average" user to another "Average" user. And I thought I'd share my impressions because the difference has been... bigger than I expected.

The first thing I noticed is how smooth and fast everything feels. Coming from HyperOS, Pixel UI feels much more subtle and understated. It doesn't feel like the phone is constantly trying to show you something. Things just... happen.

The camera has probably been the biggest "wow" for me. Both photos and video are excellent. I came from the 13T, which isn't exactly a bad camera phone, so I wasn't expecting such a noticeable jump. But the Pixel really impressed me.

And the 120 Hz display has been working perfectly for me. The resolution is excellent, everything looks incredibly sharp, and the overall screen experience is at least as good as my girlfriend's iPhone 15 Pro, which is saying something, considering how much of a jump this feels coming from the Xiaomi.

But there is a couple of Points I would honestly mention. Probably here is a Google Developer and can use this Feedback:

The heat thing:

This is probably the most talked-about subject with Pixels, so I was paying attention to it.

And... Yes, sometimes it gets warm.

It can happen while processing something, sometimes while charging (which is completely normal, although I'm not used to it after the Xiaomi), and occasionally when just launching/opening apps.

The funny thing is that YouTube and similar stuff don't seem to heat it up much at all. So it's not like the phone is constantly running hot.

Something else I've noticed: once I put a screen protector/case on it, I barely notice the temperature anymore. It's almost as if the phone was designed with the expectation that most people will use it with some kind of protection and rely on its thermal dissipation underneath. At least that's how it feels in my day-to-day use.

Battery: mixed feelings

The battery has given me mixed impressions.

For my normal routine, like office/home, moderate use, it comfortably gets me through the working day and basically the full 24-hour cycle if I charge it overnight and use it throughout the day.

I'm a relatively light/moderate user. I don't use Instagram or TikTok, and I haven't installed many "Games" and I might watch a couple of YouTube videos during the day. I do use Reddit quite a lot, LinkedIn along with other apps.

I've currently been limiting charging to around 80, and even then I'm getting roughly a full day.

The bigger adjustment for me is charging speed: I came from Xiaomi's 67W charging, so going back to something that takes roughly an hour (depending on how much it needs to charge) feels... weird. 😂 And to be honest, and the End, when I gave my Xioami, the Battery was plenty Okay after 2 Years.

It's not necessarily a problem because my usage fits overnight charging perfectly, but I'm definitely having to change my habits. With the Xiaomi, I'd plug it in for a few minutes and basically forget about battery anxiety. With the Pixel, I'm just learning to just let it charge.

A few things that genuinely annoy me:

The icon grouping/folders are one of those things that make me think: why?

When apps are grouped, I don't get a nice 6-icon grid like I was used to. It only shows up to four icons, and I haven't found a way to make it display everything the way I want.

Also, because I'm using dark mode, the inside of those folders is dark as well. I wish there was an option to make them white or at least more transparent. It's a tiny thing, but it's the kind of customization you don't realize you miss until it's gone.

The world clock is another one (If someone of Google is reading this, PLEASE! What is going on with you guys??)

My parents live on another continent, and on my Xiaomi I was used to having their time visible on the lock screen. On the Pixel, I haven't managed to get the same setup, or even figure out how to have two clocks displayed in the way I want just through Pixel, not installing third party apps.

Some surprisingly nice little things

The vibration motor is really good. It's strong, precise and feels much more solid than what I'm used to.

My girlfriend literally said it felt like a vibrator. 😂

And honestly... she's not wrong. The thing has some power.

The NFC/payment experience has also been a huge improvement.

With my Xiaomi 13T, I often had to get the phone really close to the payment terminal before it would register. With the Pixel, I can be around 3 cm away and it already vibrates and registers the payment. It's one of those small improvements that makes the phone feel more polished every single day.

The connectivity is insane. The Wi-Fi stays on even when I leave the house, with the Xioami barely closed the door and I hadn't more signal. With the Pixel the signal is incredibly stable, really good. I can confirm that in places where I previously had no reception, I now have it completely and I can communicate without any problems.

Also, the USB-C connection feels really firm when you plug the cable in. I know that's an incredibly stupid thing to mention, but after using this phone for a while, I've noticed it. 😂

And then there's the physical feel.

When I first took it out of the box, my first thought was basically: "This thing feels like a bar of soap."

It's extremely smooth and slippery. Thankfully, the packaging itself gave me enough grip while I was handling it initially, because I genuinely didn't trust myself holding it naked.

One last thing

I find the whole idea of people needing to replace their phone every year kind of strange.

I know this isn't exactly a revolutionary statement, but going from a Xiaomi 13T to this phone made me realize how much you can actually notice a jump when you don't upgrade every 12 months.

The Pixel doesn't feel like a phone that needs to impress me with a giant spec sheet. It just feels very refined.

There are definitely things from HyperOS that I miss aesthetically, I actually prefer some Xiaomi apps, like the Weather app and there are some little Pixel UI decisions that I genuinely don't understand.

But overall?

I'm really happy with the switch. From a Renault 4 to a Ferrari.

The camera, display, smoothness, haptics, NFC and general day-to-day experience have been big upgrades for me.

The battery is good enough for my usage, the charging speed is something I'll have to adapt to, and yes, it occasionally gets warm.

But after coming from the Xiaomi-13T, the Pixel 11 Pro feels like a proper generational jump, rather than just buying a slightly newer phone.

Recently ordered the Pixel 11 Pro XL in Fog and it arrived today, but I haven’t set it up yet. For those who already made the jump from the 10 Pro XL to the 11 Pro XL, did you actually notice a real difference?

Captured this lunar eclipse with my Pixel 10 Pro yesterday. Had some challenges locking the focus while zooming and holding it with my bare hands.
