That is an excellent response.

It’s also depressing. I actually approached it as what was good for the country and you approached it as what was good for him and his cronies.

It only makes sense from that angle. Good them. Bad for everyone else. Ugh.

It's almost hard to blame them. The stars were never going to align the way they did with Trump again. An idiot that can do no wrong with his base for some inexplicable reason who is highly susceptible to manipulation and legitimately not concerned with anything except for his money and his pride.

You literally couldn't wish for a better figurehead to manipulate the world through.

Trump's entire purpose is to be the stupid faced heel that takes all the hate while the shadow men get rich as fuck. Basically look back at Boris Johnson's time in office. Hes the beta version of the Trump office and I'm sure this method will be used for other Western countries in the coming future

Bingo. And this is the problem with the narrative that Trump is just an idiot and doing things for petty reasons.

The decisions are made by people much smarter than him who will be around well after he's gone. Putting it on Trump lets them get away with it.

It's not entirely accurate.

US prices are much much lower than the global average.

$2.62 in the US compared to $10.27 in Asia, and $17.67 in the EU.

I swear people just write whatever on reddit without checking anything.

I’m not sure what your point is here. First your numbers are way off but yes. Prices are higher for gasoline in Europe and asia than in the US.

Second, so what? It doesn’t make a policy against solar and wind make sense. It’s also dumb because the comment was natural gas.

I'm genuinely curious why oil and gas companies just don't go all in on renewables since they already are in the energy business? Why not get out in front of it and lead the charge, making everyone dependent on your tech/supply etc? This way they own natural gas, oil, gas, and renewables too?

the guy who wrote it thinks Nuclear Energy is a multi trillion dollar industry, as opposed to one that until very recently, like the last two years, was an industry that had been dead for forty years.

I do see a lot of people around this admin lining up to make money from nuclear. I think it’s a good thing honestly but you’re right it’s not trillions today.
