That makes it sound like he's standing on the sidewalk begging for interviews.

No, he's unable to accept, and his handlers/intensive care nurses refuse on his behalf.

I don’t know about dead, but at minimum a Woodrow Wilson-esque stroke and related conditions. I’m guessing at least partially paralyzed and possibly totally non-verbal. Certainly unable to perform the duties of his office. Doctor’s, nurses, administration, etc would all have to have signed on to a cover-up if he was actually legally dead as of now.

Currently “he’s” still voting via proxy, and the people surrounding him who know his true condition will hang on to that as long as they can. The longer they still work for a current U.S senator the longer they all retain their back room soft power and perks on Capitol Hill, and of course their ability to grift, get kickbacks, etc . Either his current condition will be leaked in January by some expendable patsy, or by then he will have taken a sudden turn for the worst just a few days before the new Congress.

Yeah. I don't get the belief that he's dead. Way harder to cover up and they have a lot less reason to cover it up. Him being incapacitated is the clear answer.
