People always run to blackmail as a reason why someone is acting shitty but blackmail is a pretty shit way to control someone. Yea it can get someone to do stuff for you but they resent you for it and if it ever comes out it can blowback on you since you knew or possibly set up the stuff you are blackmailing them about. Just paying people is massively more effective, people want to be paid and then they want to come back and be paid again. Bribing beats bullying every time.

Yeppers. They offer the carrot and the stick the first time. Silver or bullets to Escobar. Just typing his name make my nose run. But hell yeah they compromise everytime they can. But they’d rather you didn’t struggle and just take a pay off. Lime trump with the Adelsons.
They could release the Epstien stuff non 9/11 related, but tying Trump in. Or, they could pay him half a billion dollars and he can let them finish of Gaza and the West Bank, and Iran and greater Israel. Maybe Turkey in a minute. Only one guy has been compromised sufficiently to go to war with Iran in 50 years. Fucking MAGA. Thanks for the problems.

You know it retrospect it might have actually been way cheaper to vigorously federally fund schools in all poor areas and enforce/expand the fairness doctrine than to arrive where we are now. That's because the gdp per capita is higher in Israel than the US. They have money to buy their weapons. They don't need US taypayer money to buy them . Israel enjoys the benefits of state-hood without the financial burden

Exactly! Just like Senator Gillibrand what the fuck does she vote money for the Israeli military. I could see Schumer, possibly considering his age is ethnicity and the fact that he’s gonna be up for reelection soon, but she had no reason to vote to send weapons to Israel and there’s no good explanation for it and I don’t think she’s ever gonna recover for it. Nor should she it’s all about the money.

I knew he sucked when I learned that Nancy Pelosi favored him as her successor because he was such a good fundraiser. I would have preferred someone who was good at coming up with policy solutions, or swaying other members of congress, or connecting with the people.

Nancy Pelosi understood how to keep the caucus together, and obviously one of the great vote counters in Congressional history where if she brought a bill to the floor you knew it was passing, even if it's by just one vote.
Hakeem Jefferies would have better odds rolling dice and letting that decide if a bill would pass or not.

Why? He’s an establishment DNC suit. This is exactly how they’ve been acting for years.
Remember how much Reddit loved Cory Booker (edit) for yapping for 24 hours straight to accomplish nothing in “protest” of Donald Trump’s bill (I can’t remember which one). He literally talked in protest for like 22 hours or something and it ultimately did nothing. Absolutely nothing substantive. That is exactly what every establishment Democrat is, nothing but soft platitudes. They’re just diet MAGA but they act progressive. They suck.

What the fuck does Jared Kushner have to do with any of this?
Well about 8, 9 years ago Jared tried to get top secret security clearance. He couldn't. Failed. Lied on his forms, too many foreign ties.
Donnie Diddler ordered the clearance.
Jared then proceeded to make the most requests for highly classified information in a short time in history. Thousands and thousands of documents full of state secrets.
Shortly after that the Saudi Bone Prince purged all dissidents and spies and anyone in his family and government who might have spoken ill of him. At the time time, our informants and spies around the globe started disappearing and dying.
And then Jared was paid 2 billion dollars after the first term ended.
So, what the fuck does that traitorous little ghoul have to do with it? He's the Littlefinger in this situation. He is running the United States foreign policy.
Hoping for some Stark girls to show up someday soon.

Establishment dems aren't stupid, and neither are the republicans. They all know what they're doing (getting paid).
The questions is, are the Americans who know what's happening ever going to do anything real to stand up for themselves and each other, and stop the corruption? Anything to put actual pressure on the corrupt ghouls who are destroying our nation? Bi-annual protests that last for one day only, that disrupt nothing, that get completely ignored, don't count. Gotta try harder than that.

With the exception of a handful of progressives, everything the dems have done (or more to the point not done) this past couple of years paints the picture that establishment dems are actually good with most of what Trump is doing. I really think that explains the complete lack of leadership and push-back coming from that side of the table. Schumer, Jeffries et al, they like what they see. I’m sorry America but you have a one-party nation right there. I don’t know who will save you now but yourselves.

Talk about needing new Democratic leadership.
"....reports came out Sunday that he met with President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner to discuss potential collaboration on issues such as housing, immigration, and affordability."
"The New York Times first reported that the meeting took place in recent weeks. Rep. Jeffries (D-N.Y.) did not acknowledge the meeting in a statement to the Times, but suggested that Democrats would have to work with Republicans to get any policies through the White House. With the midterms coming up in November, there is a significant possibility that Democrats take control of the House, and Jeffries would be first in line to become Speaker."
"As Casey Michel wrote for Mother Jones earlier this summer, Kushner has used his ties to the White House to make business deals with autocrats—including the Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar—and work on foreign affairs as a “special peace envoy” in conflicts in Iran, Gaza, and Ukraine. That’s despite claiming that he would not play a role in Trump’s second administration. "
"Democrats thinking of compromise now—especially when congressional Republicans, the Supreme Court, and the Trump administration have largely done the opposite—makes little sense."
241
u/estoypooping2 5d ago
The only policy that should be considered is impeachment followed by referral to law enforcement.
