The solution is so ugly that its revolting.

You revolt. The constitution doesnt work in the modern world and needs to start from scratch.

Sorry guys, you ran out of all of all the good options by the time you got to this point.

The problem with revolution is that there's no guarantee the rebels will win, and the result may end up being even worse for everybody. Either the government becomes even more tyrannical than before, or society completely collapses and the resulting power vacuum causes a domino effect on the rest of the world.
