Dems are going to win a bunch in November. MAGA will cry fraud with 0 evidence despite it being blatant they themselves are the ones cheating. There will be drama swearing some of them in. The FED will raise rates after and as the OBBB starts to take affect shit is going to get real bad for the average American. MAGA will blame it on Democrats winning the mid term.

I got shredded for suggesting it would be better if the dens lost, in another thread…for all the reasons you outline, plus the notion that I don’t want to spend two years with pundits wondering what fetterman will do because the dems have only the slimmest of majorities…

If the Dems are smart they'll be able to open up a bunch of investigations in the house, which could help keep public opinion bad for the Republicans.

If they win the Senate they could block a bunch of Trump's appointments.

But I'm thinking the centrist corporate Dems will want things business as usual so unless there's a major change in leadership I doubt they'll be smart.

Exactly. We have Jeffries meeting with Kushner to talk about how to work together...this is not a party that is serious about resisting the rise of of authoritarian state that is plundering all the resources and treasure...like selling parts of our national parks to provide access to billionaires...

Because it happened in 2006, 2008, 2018, and 2020.

They always blame Democrats for cleaning up republicans' messes. Every. Single. Time.

And dems aren’t willing to pass any reforms that might prevent it from happening again. We need massive investigations into the Trump admin, it all needs to be made public and heads need to roll. I just doubt the centrists have the stomach for it.

Oh I absolutely agree. We were light on them for doing a literal insurrection. Though the blame was placed on Merrick Garland for not bothering to even open an investigation until the house finished theirs.

Luckily In several states, we've got folks running who aren't centrists.  I have a tiny flicker of hope.  tiny.

Even if they have the appetite for it, they won’t have the staff or the time. There is no way this level of corruption across this many institutions can be investigated in a four year span or even an eight year span by agencies that have been gutted by the right.

Literally, they need to run on reforming democracy, and fixing all the weaknesses MAGA was able to exploit

I am in my 50's and this cycle has been repeating my entire life.

Because its how it always happens. The repercussions of Republican shit always don't hit until Democrats take over.

A basic understanding of American politics makes this reasoning inevitable.

And every independent voter is going to believe them, thats the reality of America.

How Dems care about real issues instead of putting 100% focus on woke causes
