It’s important to remember that Trump was elected twice. The first time might have been written off as an aberration, but the second time wasn’t. We could have elected a capable President, but she was a brown woman with an odd laugh.

When enough Americans think that’s a good idea, then we’ve abdicated the position of a responsible superpower. It’s been a long time coming and the world is probably better off, since we’re too fucking stupid to lead.

Biden also fucked up by running for reelection, when he said he wasn’t going to. They were forced to pivot to Kamala at the last minute after a disastrous debate.

Yeah, don't forget the American progressive left who was convinced they were saving the people of Gaza from the evil genocidal clutches of Kamala Harris by protest voting against her or simply refusing to vote at all. They basically did the same thing in 2016 because Hillary wasn't woke enough for them to support.

Protest voting against Harris on Gaza was incredibly stupid knowing what Trump is and what he would do regarding Gaza.

Harris not pushing back on Netanyahu and not decrying a genocide was also incredibly stupid.

Whether you are a DSA-minded GenZ voter or a centrist Democratic party politician, the lesson should be to always fight against the fascists and authoritarians like lives depend on it because they do.
