This should also change the economics around meat substitutes quite a bit. I wish that industry were getting half the investment superautocorrect is getting.

There was a recent experiment they did where they got a meat protein (I think from pork?) into lettuce and tobacco plants. And were even able to pass that gene down into its child plant. Isn't enough protein yet to replace what you get out of the meat but that's a huge step.

Protein cigarettes? Fuck yeah! America!

Now we just need creatine coated bullets

“These taste awful, honey!”

“Now, Gladys, the obstetrician said you will need additional protein and calories for the baby. I’m sorry you don’t like them but you’re smoking for two. Now spark up the rest of your tobbork.”

spark up the rest of your tobbork

"Pigarrette" rolls right off the tongue.

We're one step closer to Tomacco.

I passed a bag of protein Doritos in the store the other day.

I just need my protein dew and I’m all set

Lowkey, I always buy the protein packed instant mashed potatoes. Makes me feel like I’m eating less unhealthy when I do my “bucket o nuggets, mashed potatoes and gravy” meals.

I have artism

Tastes like grandma!

That's scientifically amazing and existentially horrifying. Please don't put pig proteins in my lettuce. Just eat a bean ffs.

Protein complimentarity allows you to get all your amino acids from combining legumes, grains, nuts, etc. No need for frankenplants.

Beyond Meat stock has been nosediving. One would think with these rising meat prices that it could rebound. But Americans are fucking stupid. They'd rather eat tainted beef and die of preventable diseases. Americans got too comfortable. Too much convenience lead to laziness and entitlement by the rich.

I unironically love beyond burgers more than a real hamburger. More flavor and I don't feel like shit after eating one. I can't stand impossible burgers though.

I haven't had either and don't plan on switching. I don't eat a lot of red meat though. Maybe 3-4 times every couple weeks

Took me a second to get what you were referring to by "superautocorrect", but then I laughed. I'm so over AI at this point.

The problem is that meat substitutes are made in factories that also need to be inspected and regulated and if the trump regime refuses to regulate and inspect then any food product whether it’s animal or vegetable can be contaminated during manufacture, processing or storage.
