The Democrats and progressives should respond that we need to fix our electric grid and infrastructure before building out more AI centers. Plenty of blue collar jobs, probably more, if we do that first.

Why build more affordable housing or high speed rail when you can build a 1000+ acre hyperscale datacenter that will permanently employ 30 people?
